Speaker 1: The next apple event could be September 14th. That probably means new iPhones. Let's dig into this.
Speaker 1: We are nearing new iPhone times. So people are getting excited right now. Apple has not officially said when the event will be, but that never stops anything. Does it wed Bush analyst. Dan I've said he expected Apple's iPhone event to be in the third week of September. If you look at Apple's patterns, they frequently hold events on Tuesdays. [00:00:30] So that would put the date of this iPhone event as September 14th, 2021. Even if that date is not correct, September is always a good bet. The 2019 iPhone event was on September 13th. The 2018 event was on September 12th. The September rollout has been true every year since the iPhone five in 2012, except 2020, the 2020 event was in October. But that could have been because of the whole global unpleasantness that is still going on. The 2021 event is also [00:01:00] expected to be all virtual. Since apple reportedly delayed reopening its offices.
Speaker 1: Let's talk about what's expected at the event. First up is the next iPhone. A report from economic daily news said it'll be called the iPhone 13 and not the iPhone 12 S the name iPhone 13 has been all over the internet as well. How accurate is economic day daily news? Speaker 1: The 13, the 13 mini the 13 pro and [00:02:00] the 13 Promax the new iPhones could have a smaller notch than previous models. This has been reported by times and Bloomberg leaks. Apple pro was very specific saying that the notch will be 26 millimeters compared to the current 35 millimeter notch. A Mac room support says that the iPhone 13 will be a tiny bit thicker with a bigger a bump. This larger bump would prevent the lenses from sticking out as much as they do on the 12 old reports [00:02:30] said we would get higher refresh rate displays on the iPhone 12. The 12 is still at 60 Hertz. So maybe the 13 will bring in a 120 Hertz refresh rate, like the Samsung galaxy S 21 or the upcoming pixel pro touch ID may come back on the iPhone 13. So they may look more pro, but don't expect active noise cancellation.
