Ford is bringing the F 150 lightning back but instead of featuring a fire breathing v eight, this new one is all electric.
Now that drive train provides Of course, plenty of horsepower and torque, but that's not all.
It also gives you loads of extra storage space.

Since there's no engine the lightning has a generously sized front trunk or mega power front in Ford parlance, and I know this sounds silly, but this is actually one of the trucks coolest features.
Here's why.
This lockable weathertight space can support 400 pounds and clocks in at 400 litres about 14 cubic feet which is pretty huge.
For context.
It should be about one cube larger than the trunk of a Toyota Corolla sedan.
Accordingly, it's roomy enough to hold eight satchels of ready mix concrete to golf bags are plenty of other stuff.
For added versatility.
The Mega power front is washable and has drain holes.
Plus there are a whopping six different ways to open it from the faab to a grill mounted button to the exterior key pad just to name a few, power outlets are also a plenty you get for 120 volt household outlets and two USB ports.
This trucks hood is it still a hood?
I'm not so sure Anyway, the hoods opening height is adjustable, which is ideal for spaces with lower ceiling heights.
And if you're wondering the lightning's bed should be exactly the same size as a regular f150s.
Aside from golf bags or luggage, the mega power Fronk is a great place to stash your weekly groceries.
Normally these would go in the backseat where they can spill everywhere and make a terrible mess if you don't drive carefully.
This should be a much better solution for storing items out of the elements and away from prying eyes.
Thank you so much for watching this feature about the 2022 Ford F 150 lightning and its mega power front
