I'm here at Skully Technologies with their new Phoenix AR augmented reality helmet.
Now, if Skully sounds familiar that's because another company, Skully Incorporated, they raised a bunch of money on Indiegogo, shut down and left all of their backers high and dry.
Well, Skully Technologies is here with this brand new helmet and I'm gonna give it a go.
The Phoenix AR features not only turn by turn GPS, but a rear view 180 degree camera and a voice activated system that can make phone calls and start music playback.
Now all of that is viewed through a semi-transparent heads up display that takes a part of the right-hand side of your vision.
But what's really cool is you don't need to look down and to your mirrors to see anything.
Everything is right there in your eye line.
But probably the coolest thing about Skully technologies is its commitment to the motorcycle family.
In fact, everybody who ordered a helmet through that old company with that indigogo campaign, hey guess what?
You're getting your very own Skully Phoenix AR.
Now Skully Incorporated is not gonna go the pre-order route.
You're gonna have to wait until the summer of 2018 and pay full price, about $1899.
