Well, hello everyone.
We're here at the North American International Auto Show.
And if you wanted a minivan war, you got yourself a minivan war.
I'm here at the Honda booth and it looks like the 2018 Honda Odyssey is gonna go up to some stiff competition with the Chrysler Pacifica.
But first, take a look at this Honda.
It's got a 3.4 liter and a V6 which is good for 280 horsepower and that can be made into a 9 or a 10 speed automatic transmission.
I know, it's a little over kill in the transmission but I guess when it comes to mini vans it just not about power, it's about how the kiddo's are going to do in the back seat.
Now here we have got a second and a third row seat.
The third row seat is gonna fold completely flat but there's a little bit of magic in the second row seat as well,in that they can move either fully wide or totally apart so kids are arguing put them apart, kids are doing okay put them back together.
As a parent I can also keep an eye on the kids.
There is a camera that can show the second and third row seats on my 8 inch touchscreen ahead and I can also kind of throw my voice through the speakers to the second and third row, so I don't ever have to yell at them.
And when it comes to entertainment there is one 10.2 inch screen that flips down, and through WiFi streaming you're gonna be able to stream the kids' shows to their heart's content.
At least until your data runs out.

And in this corner we have the all new Chrysler Pacifica.
It's been winning awards left and right and it's no surprise.
It's V6 engine has more power than Honda, at 287 horsepower.
It's also got 197 feet of interior space for people and things.
Which you can make very flexible use of with the very cool Second row stow and go seats that fold right down into the floor when you're ready to load heavy things.
You never have to worry about where am I gonna put my seat?
It's also got a powerful stow in back vacuum cleaner system built right in, so you clean up after those crumb snatchers in the back.
And compared to the Honda Odyssey, single screen rear [UNKNOWN] entertainment, Chrysler Uconnect theater is a two screen web-connected app-enabled powerhouse.
That's sure to keep the kids entertained for long trips.
And if that's not enough, there's also the plug in hybrid version that gives you 30 miles of pure electric range.
And after that, 84 miles per gallon equivalent..
That's something that Honda just can't touch.
Okay, okay, okay, okay, I get it.
So when you're talking about power here, not really important in a minivan.
But like you said, a plug in hybrid that the Pacifica has Odyssey just can't touch that.
Right, until Honda gets on board with their own hybrid version, that's definitely a win our category.
I will say though, Honda did say that they have the most interior volume, but they didn't give a number yet.
Yeah, yeah.
So we call that wishy washy area, but since we're talking about the back, I'm still going to claim my win with You Connect versus whatever Honda's got hanging
From their feeling.
Yeah, I mean, in that case the kids would have to share, and kids aren't gonna share these days.
Yeah.
And also, my second row seats don't fold flat in the Odyssey.
This one you have a whole flat bed.
So, I mean honestly, I'm kind of thinking the Pacifica's better then the Odyssey.
Yeah, Chrysler invented the minivan, it's no surprise they're the best at it.
So
So when it comes down to the new Odyssey versus the year-old Pacifica, we just gotta give it to the Pacifica.
That's what we rule.
That's how it goes.
