The Nissan Leaf may already be the worlds best selling EV of all time but it could still use sex appeal and a little bit more performance edge.
That's the job of this new NISMO concept here at the Tokyo Motor Show.
It features a new ground effects kit with new wheels and stickier tires as well as a firmer sports suspension.
It has it's own power train tune as well.
But Nissan's not sharing if it makes significantly more power, or offers better acceleration.
That means it has at least 147 horse power, and 236 pound feet of torque.
I've driven the standard Leaf already, and it's fun, thanks to max torque at zero RPM.
But a little bit more acceleration never hurt anybody.
Nissan has yet to commit to building a Nismo Leaf.
But if it's looking to raise the profile of its electric car efforts, it could do a lot worse.
