When yo think of Americans super car, you probably think of the Ford GT, the Dodge Viper or maybe a [UNKNOWN].
What you don't think of is this.
This is America's super car.
It's the 2019 Ford F-150 SVT Raptor.
Now hear me out, this vehicle is powerful, It's surprisingly quick, it's clad in light weight bodywork.
And there are places on this earth, where a vehicle like this is gonna be faster than just about anything out there Plus, even though it's been around for a few years, it still looks otherworldly.
What's most supercar about the Raptor is that when it comes to peak performance, it puts a lot of daylight between it and more conventional pickups.
Sometimes, that daylight is even literal.

Speaking of super car the 2019 [UNKNOWN] three and half liter [UNKNOWN] V6 is the same engine in the 4GT.
Only here it's tuned to make 450 horse power and 510 pump [UNKNOWN] That's enough for zero to six and above five seconds.
Plus this vehicle will tow 8.000 pounds.
The key tech that enabled the original Raptor's high performance were its sophisticated big bucks Fox racing shocks.
For 2019, ground clearance is unchanged, meaning 13 inches up front and 13.9 out back.
However, those Fox shocks They're even better with new electronically controlled live valve technology for continuous damping.
There's normal, sport, and off-road, and the shocks can even detect when the vehicle is completely in mid air, so it firms up upon landing.
Come on.
What's more supercar than that.
Another key chains for 2019 is trail control which is basically off road cruise control for speeds up to 20 miles an hour.
Think of it like hill the sent control but usable wherever you want.
Downhill, uphill, even midstream.
I've used similar technique in land rovers before, and it almost feels like cheating.
But it does let you concentrate on placing your wheels.
One other key change for 2019 is the available Recaro seats.
I'm sitting in one right now and that means even when the Raptor is bouncing all over the place, I'm not.
That fixes one of the biggest complaints I had with the old truck.
The rest of the cabin, it's solid.
It's not quite as nice as the new Ram, but then what is?
Either way I've still got [UNKNOWN], plenty of storage space So it's pretty good.
One area where the Raptor isn't very super car, noise.
I wish it had a fuller sound.
I know Ford can do it.
Remember, this is the same engine in the GT, and it sounds a hell of a lot healthier there.
This thing should sound like Hendrix playing the Star Spangled Banner, instead it's, well, perfectly fine, but nothing worth lighting things on fire over.
I also wish the otherwise well-behaved ten-speed automatic were a bit quicker to kick down at times.
The sales numbers, they don't lie for a big portion of America the full-size pickup truck is America's family sedan.
So it makes sense that there's one out there that's a supercar.
Look, I've got no earthly reason to own a vehicle like this.
In fact, few people will ever tap it's full potential.
And yet, it doesn't stop me from wanting one really, really badly.
And in the end, what's more super car than that?
