I'm here in the 2018 Ford F-150 Power Stroke diesel.
And we've got a full review of that, don't you worry.
But I wanted to give you a quick little glimpse into the Trailer Backup Assist.

Now I'm gonna try to back up this boat on my own first, and I have to tell you [LAUGH] it's gonna be funny.
Now I was taught when you back up a trailer you can put your head hand on the bottom of the wheel, and then that way you don't have to do the reversing in your mind, right?
Don't know about that, crap, crap, crap, crap, crap!
[LAUGH]
It's not going to work!
Okay, [LAUGH] let me go forward [LAUGH] and try it with the technology.
Because that was pretty much the worst thing I've ever seen.
Okay, all right.
[MUSIC]
[LAUGH] All right, so that was pretty terrible.
We're gonna turn on Trailer Backup and I'm gonna select Boat Trailer.
So if you have a race trailer or a horse trailer you can put all those stats in here and then select.
So it automatically knows how long your trailer is.
And now I'm, instead of using the steering wheel I am just gonna use the little dial down here, so I don't have to reverse it in my mind.
All I have to do is if I want my trailer to move to the right, all I gonna do is turn this dial to the right.
Whereas if I'm trying to do it on my own, if I wanna go to the right I gotta turn my steering wheel to the left.
So this takes that backwards part out of your mind.
I still gotta watch my mirror.
So I'm good on that side, I'm good on this side.
I'm gonna parallel park here, in between these two vehicles.
All right, let's straighten it out just a little bit.
Straighten it out.
My gosh I think I might do this.
Go, go, go go, go, go.
I'm gonna be so close to the curb.
My God it's gonna be amazing.
It's gonna be amazing.
Okay I think I'm good there.
Now I'm just gonna let it straighten itself out Gosh!
Did I do it?
Yes, I am amazing!
I am so cool.
I am so cool.
I am like 8 inches away from the curb back there.
Alright, so now all I am going to do is shift the car.
Straighten myself out just a tiny little bit.
And ba-bam, parallel parking trailer between two trucks.
I am awesome.
This trailer back up really makes it easy because you don't have to switch anything around in your mind.
All you have to do is use the dial.
Now Do I want to learn how to parallel park a trailer without any kind of help?
Well yeah, of course, cuz the more you know, right?
But for right now, it's a super cool feature on the Ford F-150 that I totally dig.
