Two models have been released; the full touchscreen MWg Atom V and the MWg Zinc II, which features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Both phones run Microsoft's latest operating system, Windows Mobile 6.1, and feature handy shortcut keys to access everyday applications.

A spokesperson for MWg has told CNET.com.au that both handsets have been successfully tested on all the existing mobile networks in Australia, and that the Zinc II is compatible with Telstra's Next G network. At this stage, the handsets will only be available through specialty electronics retailers including Calculator King and Organiser World in Melbourne, Techoni in Sydney and through online retailer Expansys.com.au.

Formerly O2 Asia, MWg was established as an independent company in late 2007 after O2's parent company Telefonica put its assets in O2 Asia up for sale. The Zinc II and Atom V are the first PDA devices to be developed MWg.
