I'm David Cathman here at CES 2019, and this is the private suite of vizio, and vizio is not normally the show but here, they made a big splash with a bunch of new television, behind me you'll see a stretch of vizio TVs.
We'll start with the most expensive, it's their flagship, big splash TV vizio Qseries Quantum S.
Actually showing an 85-inch TV behind me.
That's not necessarily gonna come out next year but it's definitely gonna have a 75 and a 65-inch member of the series.
They're claiming the biggest brightness ever, up to 2,900 nits, prodigious number of dimming zones, up to 480 on this set.
So this is gonna be potentially one of the best performing TVs of the year.
It's a successor to the P-series Quantum of last year that we liked so much.
Speaking of that name, there's also a P series quantum series without the X for 2019.
That one comes in a 65 and a 75-inch size.
A little bit less dimming zones, a little bit less bright, but still potentially excellent picture quality.
Stepping down from there, there is the completely new Vizio M series quantum, which does, like the other two, include quantum dark color for that wide color On it it also has a large number of dimming zones, 90 on a 65 inch size, that series is again a big step up from the previous M series that we like so much for the money, by the way no pricing on these TVs yet for 2019, but we will find that out a little bit later in the year.
Finally, there's a new entry level series called the V series, the V series is gonna be the entry level TV with local dimming successive to the E series last year, again we expect very good picture quality for the money.
Again Vizio hasn't told us the pricing on these sets and we are not sure if the 85 is coming out.
Vizio is gonna be revamping it's smart cast, smart TV functionality this year too, they have on to adding compatible with apple airplay and home kit, so if you have an Iphone or an Ipad or Mac computer, you can airplay right to the screen using the phone or the computer as a controller.
We gotta demo of this system.
Unfortunately I can't show it to you right now but it's really cool.
It allows you again to take control of your TV using your iPhone.
You can even use Sirius.
You can ask Siri to show you TV shows and movies on the big screen itself.
Really cool functionality.
Can't wait to test it a little bit more this year That's a quick at look at Vizio's full lineup of 2019 TVs.
