This smart road bike comes with GPS and a display built-in
This is the Speedx Leopard Pro.
And it was the most funded bike on Kickstarter raising over 2.3 million dollars.
What makes it unique is that it's a smart bike.
And no that doesn't mean it has an electric motor or anything like that.
It actually has GPS, Bluetooth, and all the other sensors you'd want built directly into the frame.
So there is no need for a separate Garmin or Polar bike computer.
This allows the bike to measure speed, distance, heat, altitude and more.
There is even navigation on board and it supports amp plugs for connecting to a power meter or heart recessor.
What I found really cool was the built in rear light, which will automatically turn on when it gets dark.
Now the company claims you will get up to 40 hours of battery life.
Charging is done through a microUSB port on the back and not some proprietary charging system, which is a nice perk, but all these smart features aren't everything.
This bike is just plain sexy.
It has internal wiring for that clean work and features a carbon fiber frame, [UNKNOWN] and handle bars.
With a weight of just over 17 pounds.
As for the group set, it's Shimano Ultegra Di2, which has electronic shifting.
My only complaint about the bike is that it lacks disc brakes.
And while I only spent a brief time with it, overall it seems like a pretty great value.
The Leopard Pro is available for pre order now on the Speedx website for $2500.
The company also has a cheaper model called the Leopard Which has a [UNKNOWN] 105 group set and aluminium handle bars for 1500 bucks.
