Hi, I'm Lori Grunin, Senior Editor of CNET and I'm here at CES where Nikon announced a few cameras.
The first one is the Nikon 1J3 - it's the update to the J series which they had just released or announced to J2 in the fall.
So, this sort of came out of the blue.
But it is more of an update from the J2.
It's got 14 megapixels CX size sensor.
This is the new 10-100mm lens.
The cut lens will still be the 10-30mm and will run for $600 when it ships in February.
Some of the new things in the camera are: it has a pop up flash that you can [unk] which is a really nice feature for getting a nice flash effect without the harshness of the light.
It also has a much needed physical mode dial on top which is really nice because a lot of
people who buy this camera are enthusiastic.
We like our mode dials physical.
It's got a very nice well-designed body.
It feels comfortable.
It feels sturdy.
My one big problem with a lot of these cameras is that they don't have grips.
So, they get really slippery and I look forward to testing it when it comes out.
I'm Lori Grunin and this is the Nikon 1J3.
