The Future of 5G: Real-time, Interactive Entertainment
[MUSIC]
5G will empower new types of interactive experiences.
My name is Dan Garraway, and I'm the co-founder of WIREMAX, an interactive video technology company.
5G is going to be a big stepping stone to what content producers and film studios aim to achieve, which is better and more engaging experiences.
We've already seen TV shows experimenting with interactive storylines for individual viewers.
5G would take this interactivity to a whole new level with the tremendous increase in speed and super low latency of 5G, we'll be able to connect with live experiences of viewers to real-time content or virtual reality interfaces could add a layer Interactivity and immersion to sporting events, unlike anything we've seen before.
5G will enable the upload and download of high volumes of pictures, sounds, and video.
So we'll train algorithms quicker with terabytes of data.
This will result in more accurate searches of content, better recommendations.
And more effective AI.
Using automation machine learning, studio production workflows will be dramatically more efficient.
Faster data speeds, lower latency, more network, more reliable connections, all of these things will transform entertainment itself, and how we consume it.
The possibilities will be virtually endless for how creative people will use 5G to bring new types of content experiences to millions and billions of consumers.
Will there be an award for best interactivity in motion picture?
Stay tuned.
