Hey, guys.
This is Eric Franklin from CNET.com.
I'm in San Francisco and let's say you're looking to get into Windows 8.1, but you don't want a large tablet or a large laptop.
Well, Dell may have an answer for you in its Venue 8 Pro.
It's an 8-inch tablet running Windows 8.1.
The tablet will be priced at $299 with 32 gigabytes of storage with a 64-gigabyte version
also available for a higher yet unannounced price.
The tablet houses a Bay Trail processor, includes a 1280x800 resolution IPS screen, 2 gigabytes of RAM, a full-size SD card slot, and features micro-USB charging.
The 8 Pro is 0.35-inch thick and weighs 0.9 pounds.
There's a front-facing
1.2-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel back camera.
Despite Running Windows 8.1, the Venue Pro looked and feels very much like an Android tablet.
The Windows buttons sits on the top edge of the tablet when held vertically and it's somewhat unexpected placement took a bit of getting used to.
The back texture is this grooved wave pattern that felt nice on my hands and seem to have brought just enough extra grip as to not
be a waste of effort.
Look for more on the Dell Venue 8 Pro soon.
