Tekzilla Daily: How to turn off favicons in Firefox
[ Music ]
>> Hey everyone, welcome to Tekzilla Daily, I'm Veronica Belmont. There has been some discussion lately about Google's redesign of their fav icon. Some people love it, some hate it. Like me, I freaking hate it. If you're in the later category or you just disliked Firefox's fav icons in general and wish they'd disappear all together, this tip is for you. Go to the About column config page and scroll to browser.chrome.favicons. Set this to false and restart your browser, no more fav icons. If you'd like to get rid of all the icons, head back over to the About column config page and scroll to browser.chrome.site_icons and set this to false. Now personally, I like those little icons to help me keep track of all the tabs I have opened, but some people do find them annoying, so there you have it. Got a tip for us to pass along to the rest of the TZ crew, then e-mail us at firstname.lastname@example.org. And as always, tekzilla.com, it's "the place" to find more tips, tricks, product reviews and those good old how-tos.
