>> Hey everyone, welcome to Tekzilla Daily, I'm Veronica Belmont. We've all gotten used to the notification area in Windows, you know the system tray. It holds all those little icons indicating programs running in the background. Now if you're short on toolbar space or just don't usually look at those icons all the time, you can hide some of them. Just right-click the empty area and select Properties. In the task bar tab you'll see a check box next to hide inactive icons. Selecting this will collapse those inactive icons, but what's more, you can click customize and set individual programs to either always hide, always show or hide when inactive. That's all there is to it. Now remember, the icons are still there, just hidden. To see them again just hit the arrow button in the system tray to reveal all the icons again. Now if you have a tip or trick that you wanna share, then e-mail us at tekzilla@revision3.com. And don't forget tekzilla.com, it's "the place" to find more tips, tricks, product reviews and how-tos.
