Tech Minute: Gadgets to boost your mobile device's battery life
Tech Industry
If you find yourself without a cell phone charger and without a wall outlet to plug into, get your hands on a Powerocks Magicstick.
For about $34 at major electronic stores, this glue stick-sized charger is powerful enough to fully charge your phone via a USB cable twice in a day.
Charging the Powerocks itself takes about 5 hours.
For about $30, the ReVIVE Series Solar ReStore is great for charging your gadgets in the great outdoors.
The Solar ReStore gets its
charge from the sun or a wall plug if need be, and can then give your phone or tablet a boost in a pinch.
Finally, a great multi-tasking charging gadget is the $50 GO FlexSmart X2 FM transmitter.
It plugs into your car's cigarette lighter port, and not only plays music and takes calls over Bluetooth, but lets you charge your smartphone or MP3 player while streaming.
