>> Hi. I'm Rich Brown, senior editor for CNET.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Sony Vaio JS250J. This is a mid-range all-in-one PC. It has a 20-inch screen, and it goes for about 1100 bucks, as configured anyway. We like the system quite a bit because it's a large screen, and it has a Blu-ray drive. That means not only can you use it at a standard computer, but you can also stick it in your kitchen, in a den, pretty much anywhere that you might want a secondary home entertainment system. This is a relatively fast computer. We were happy with its benchmark performance. It also has a nice selection of features throughout, and it makes it a relatively complete system. So, you see in the front here, you get your webcam up top, and the screen's pretty clean. It's a pretty clean design. The wires go underneath the stand here. And we like the way that works. It is a wired keyboard and mouse. The mouse is kind of lame. It's a little puny, but the keyboard's pretty good. It's definitely Apple-inspired here. You can see it's sort of thin, and the key stand out off the keyboard. You get the basic array of ports on the side here. There's two media card readers, a pair of USB 2.0 slots, and there's a standard analog audio output. So you got headphone, microphone, and auxiliary. And down here, you get an on/off switch for the system's Wi-Fi connection. And over here, you can see the Blu-ray drive. It's not slot loading, but it works. And around back, again, you get a simple array of ports, a few more USBs, as well as a FireWire and digital optical output. You may have stories about the so-called "met-top" PCs that are low-cost, all-in-ones. So this is definitely not one of those. This is a full-fledged computer. It costs over a thousand dollars. And there's no touchscreen, like you see in the small ones from HP and other vendors. We find that okay. Touch is kind of cool when you can get it, and it's a neat little experiment. But it's not enough of a -- there's no killer app for it yet, so we -- you know, we can live without it. And we'd certainly trade Blu-ray for that. And because of that Blu-ray drive, as we said, we really like this PC as sort of a secondary home entertainment system. It also has relatively fast performance, so if you want to use it for productivity, you should have no problem there, either. So I'm Rich Brown. This is the Sony Vaio JS250J.
