>> Hi, I'm Molly Wood from CNET.com here at Sony's 2009 Line Show where they have unveiled a slew of products. I am taking a first look at the STR-DN1000. It's a high-end AV receiver from Sony. It is a 7.1 channel system. It obviously supports 1080p inputs, it's got 4 HDMI ports and 1 out. But the big story about this receiver is that it actually does HD upscaling over component or HDMI. What that means is if you have a DVD player, standard def DVD player or a standard def signal coming in to your television this receiver will actually upscale that image so that it approaches HD quality. This receiver also supports Sony's S-Air System, which is a Wireless Audio Streaming System. You buy an optional adapter and then you can say plug in an iPod dock and stream that music to a different part of the house when someone else is watching television, kind of a nifty feature found on most of Sony's high-end receivers. The STR-DN1000 should be available in July for about $500. For CNET.com, I'm Molly Wood.
