>> Hi, I'm senior editor David Katzmaier from CNET.com and I'm with Sony's KDL 520 XPR2. This is a 52 inch flat panel LCD. First of all around the edge is the most noticeable thing. There's a ring of glass about an inch thick that goes all the way around the border. And of course around the edge of the TV itself, there's a little bit of perforated silver color here. And of course to either side, that's where the sound from the speakers comes out. Down here there's the matching silver stand. And one of the unique things about this television is that you can actually swap out the silver of the stand and the bezel for a different color. So it's available in blue, brown, white and a variety of other colors if you want to mix and match. Of course you'll pay extra for the kit to change the color of this TV. This TV is also one of the most fully featured LCD TVs on the market right now. It has a slue of picture adjustments including full range of color temperature control. In terms of inputs, there's a great selection. There's actually an HDMI input on the side of this television which is pretty unique, that we've seen out there. There's also two HDMI inputs in the back as well as a computer input and a pair of component video inputs. So connectivity wise, it's really one of the better TVs on the market. When we took this Sony into the lab, we were very impressed by its picture quality for an LCD TV. Unfortunately it does compete at this screen size directly against some less expensive plasmas and the plasmas do beat the Sony in terms of producing a nice deep black. On the other hand, the Sony does have excellent color, very accurate. So you get a nice color palette out of there without getting too red skin tones or anything like that. It's also a very clean picture with very little false contouring. We did detect a little bit of video noise, a little bit more than some plasmas we've seen. Otherwise the picture quality of this TV is extremely good. Anyway, that's a quick look at the Sony KDL 52 XPR2 and I'm David Katzmaier.
