Snap chat has a brand new design.
As part of an effort to make snap chat more user friendly, the refresh aims to separate your friends from professional publishers.
So what's different.
Swiping to the left screen reveals what used to be the private chat part of snap chat.
Now it's merge with your friend's stories.
Tap on a conversation to open it and respond or tap on a friend's icon to see their most recent snaps.
Snapchat said your closest friends will float to the top, so you can prioritize keeping up with them.
On the right side of the camera, Snapchat rework the discover page.
Now it's in a vertical format and will hold publisher's stories, local events, and featured Snapchat creators.
It will still offer relevant pics based off of algorithms but in a slight dig at Youtube's recent algorithms problems, Snapchat made sure to mention human review was still a big part of how content gets chosen for curation.
Snapchat CEO, Evan Spiegel, introduced the changes in a blog post on the Snap website.
And says the update will slowly trickle out to a small percentage of users at first.
And then a larger roll out with occur by the end of 2017.
With the company struggling to bring in new users after going public earlier this year, it's a move aimed that getting people to either try the app for the first time Or come back if they've left.
