Watch out Nike.
Digitsole is running up right behind you with these self lacing smart shoes.
Now, technically they're not really lacing.
It's just a cover that opens and closes to tighten the shoe around your foot.
They are a prototype and Digitsole told us they'll be launching on kickstart in February 2017.
The shoes have bluetooth so you can control the shoe from the app The final model will have a physical button you can press to tighten and loosen the shoe without a phone and wireless charging.
What sets these apart from Nike shoes is that they come with heating control so you can adjust the temperature of the insole of each foot.
The insole also has tracking functionality to watch your steps, air time, and gait.
That data is then used to give you audio guidance during a run or a walk.
You'll get queues on posture and how fatigued you are.
But we weren't able to test that functionality.
And Digit Sole is not just working on sneakers.
This is a prototype of a telescopic heel for women's shoes.
These won't be made by Digit Sole, but they're planning to license this technology to another shoemaker.
