At CES 2015, I'm here with Samsung, and this is a look at its Tizen operating system.
This is a new smart TV system that Samsung is using on all its smart TVs for 2015, completely redesigned compared to last year, and on the surface looks a lot more intuitive.
One of the cool things is, when you put up, push the button on the remote, or lay your finger right on the touch sensitive part of the remote pad, it comes up with four quadrants of the screen.
You can navigate to any of them.
One of them is volume.
Another one is channel.
You can also go right down the smart section and activate this little bar that pulls up, shows you where all the apps are.
One of the nice things that's on that bar.
It shows you more recent apps, instead of just a lineup of constant apps.
This actually changes compared to which ones you use most.
It also provides recommendations on that bar, so you can actually figure out what's gonna happen.
Samsung has added a couple new apps this year including the ability to wake up, the TV along with you in the morning.
So you can get your weather and everything in the morning.
The TVs are also compatible with the Playstation Now service, so you can play your Playstation Now games right on the TV without having to connect a console.
Another advantage of the Tizen operating system is open-source so developers can come along.
And create new apps for the TV.
Tizen is the same operating system used in some of Samsung's wearables and phones, so the TV actually interfaces with Samsung phones a lot more easily than before.
That's a quick look at Samsung's Tizen operating systems for their new smart TVs.
