Hey, everyone.
I'm Jessica Dolcourt from CNET here at Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona.
This is the Samsung Gear Fit, the Samsung's new fitness band.
Now this is not a smartwatch; it is just a fitness band.
First thing you're gonna notice about it is the interesting design.
It's using Samsung's curved display.
So it's not just the glass that's curved, but also the technology underneath it, kind of like what we saw in the Samsung Galaxy Round.
So, the fitness band is pretty light here.
I've got it in this gray color with the sort of textured band.
It's made of plastic and it seems to very simply clip into place with two prongs here.
So it's pretty secure.
This fitness band does have a persistent heart rate checker on it and it does connect to the Samsung S Health app, so will be able to check your vitals on the go.
In addition to tracking your heart rate, it also operates as a pedometer, and it will give you haptic feedback, say if you're working out and you slow your pace, and it will kind of buzz to nudge
you to move a little bit faster.
There's no indication of pricing, availability, or launch markets just yet.
So, we will let you know as soon as we know.
