>> Molly Wood: Hi. I'm Molly Wood from CNET.com here at PMA's 2009. I'm taking a first look at the just-announced Pentax X70. Now, this is another in which is proving to be a very popular concept here at the show. Kind of a crossover camera. A crossover between a point and shoot and a digital SLR. This camera comes equipped with a 24 x optical zoom. Really, a super zoom for a camera of this size. It doesn't have an interchangeable lens, but you can see that it will give you some of the flexibility of a digital SLR including a lot of the manual shooting modes. Now, obviously, with a 24 x zoom, it's going to have optical image stabilization, and it does. It also shoots both photos and video at multiple aspect ratios, and the video is HD, which is another nice bonus. Again, this is the just-announced Pentax X70. It should be available in April at a price of about $399.00. At PMA 2009, I'm Molly Wood, and this is the Pentax X70.
