I'm Nicole Lee, senior associate editor for Cnet.com and this is a first look at the Pantech Pursuit II for AT&T wireless.
The Pantech Pursuit II as the name suggests is a successor to the Pantech Pursuit messaging phone from last year.
It's a very compact form factor, rounded corners as you can see here, nice and slim as well.
On the front, there is a simple
2.8-inch color display.
The displays Pantech proprietary Brew OS.
It comes with different home screens too, which are customizable with application short cuts and your favorite context.
On the back, is a 2-megapixel camera.
While the first Pursuit had a horizontal sliding keyboard, the Pantech Pursuit II slides upward.
The keyboard as you can see here is quite roomy and spacious.
We like the raised keys as well as the larger spacebar key on the bottom.
It's quite easy to text and dial with this keyboard.
Features of the Pursuit II are relatively basic.
You do get your 10-megapixel and camcorder like we mentioned.
You also get GPS and Bluetooth.
Other features include the usual text and multimedia messaging, instant messaging, and mobile e-mail.
The Pantech Pursuit II is affordably priced around
$49.99 of a new 2-year service agreement with AT&T.
