The Fizzics Waytap promises to make your bottles beer taste more like it came from the tap at your favorite bar.
It does that using sound waves.
No CO2 canisters, just 4 AA batteries.
If that sounds familiar, it's because the Fizzics Waytap is a lot like the original Fizzics we reviewed around this time last year.
And back then, I thought that sounded like a bunch of BS too.
But here's the thing, it actually kinda works.
I'll get to that in a sec.
First, here's what's different about Fizzics Waytap.
It's slimmer, the design looks great now, and it's only 130 as opposed to 170 of the original.
The one drawback, you can fit a growler into the original's Fizzics, this is just bottles and cans.
Here's how it works.
Press the button to open Fizzics up, open up your bottle or can of beer And place it right in the middle.
Make sure you run this straw down into it.
And then just pull forward on the handle and it will pour out your beverage nice and smoothly.
And it does make your beer taste bubblier sort of like contain from its top and it does help the sweeter flavor pop more.
So if you like stouts and chocolatey note.
You might really love Fizzics.
But sometimes mutes the more bitter end of beer flavors.
So if you're an IPA person or you like dry pale ale, Fizzics might not be for you.
So does the Fizzics way tap perfectly replicate the experience of having a draft beer?
No but it is a cool device, especially for $100, so if you enjoy Experimenting with your beer, it's worth a look.
