-Hey.
Brian, special delivery.
-Oh, my.
As you have no idea.
You have not idea what.
Oh, what is it?
This is a one of 300 originals Steve Jobs' hand-crafted from China.
Apple banned this thing.
Oh, what's with the details?
-Okay.
You wanna go get some lunch maybe?
'Cause by on sales go again.
Let's go.
-No, you know what?
We can go, moving ahead.
I've got a new best friend.
-Oh.
New best friend?
But.
-What's up?
I'm Brian Tong and Welcome to the Apple Byte for all the good and bad side of the world of Apple.
Now, the last week we told you the next iPod will ship within 100 days.
But, that's not the only goodie we should expect to see next year.
DigiTimes is now reporting that iMacs and MacBook Pros will be upgraded in the first half of 2011.
Now, that's not really news because we expect that to happen.
But,
DigiTimes says Apples plans to release at lease 4 upgraded MacBook Pros with the new body design and iMac that features a new panel size in a price point for the mainstream market.
Translation, cheaper.
Now, so perfectly fine to go out and buy either of these Mac's holy season.
So, don't let this story stop you.
Now, DigiTimes is also reporting that Apple has added 2 new touch screens suppliers to boast shipments for iPod 2 to more than 6 million per month.
They also say there's no sign of a 7
inch screen in the supply chain and doesn't expect one to be released any time soon.
Now, the Bay A has official announced that the Mac App Store will be opened on Thursday, January the 6th and will launch in 90 countries with both free and paid applications.
And, let's make it clear, do not line up outside of a store.
But, if you want to, you and your friends can line up in front of your computer because that's cool.
Now, we also showed you how impressive gaming is starting a look on the iPhone with Infinity Blade last week.
Well, it could
get a lot better in the near future.
Apple's partner Imagination, the maker of the power PowerVR SGX Graphics Processor found in IOS's devices, has acquired Caustics Graphics which specializes in real-time ray tracing graphics technology which will allow for a complex and more natural lighting in 3D gaming.
All right.
Let's take a short break so I can take a nap with a tip for changing your email signature with Donald Bell.
-Out in the
box when you set up email on an iPod, Apple encloses their own email signature on your outgoing messages.
Send from my Ipod is keep for few days but eventually you feel like Apple should be paying royalties from marketing their product.
You prefer to send the email without flaunting your iPod ownership, here's how to do it.
Type in the settings and select Mail Contacts Calendar's from the side bar.
Cut the option for signature.
Clear it and then leave it blank or put in something useful.
That's
it.
Now, you can hit the Home button, launch email and any new email you compose will have your new signature.
It's also worth noting that the same technique also works on the iPhone or iPod Touch.
So, there you go.
That's how you can change the email signature on an iPod.
For CNET.com, I'm Donald.
Bell.
-Stretch it out.
Stretch it out.
All right.
To the quick buzz.
Football fans listen up.
A new survey for Direct TV customers obtained by Gadget shows a hint that the service might be coming to Apple products like Apple TV, the iPod and the iPhone.
The other major sports leagues already offered viewing solutions on mobile devices and getting football would be sweet deal for sports fans.
Oh, go Niners.
We're taking to the top of it.
6 and 8 in MC US Champs.
That's right.
Now, we've been bombarded with software updates this week.
But, one of the standout is an update to iBooks on IOS devices running 4.2 or higher.
iBooks now supports full children's picture books or
our books.
You can organize your books and PDS into collections and print PDS and even Notes 2 Brendan Books with Air Print.
Now, the Cupertino kids have also released a far more update for the 27 inch LED Cinema Display to fix intermittent audio lost issues and you guys will probably wanna get on that.
And, iTunes released an updated 10.1.1 to fix bugs and crashing issues.
But, if you haven't updated yet, you might wanna hold up for a bit because some users are reporting that the update is causing their iTunes to crash and they
can't even open their app.
Now, check this out.
This is one accessory you wanna take a look at from our friends at MIC Gadget.
This is the 3-in-1 iPad camera connection kit that allows you to connect either your camera, SD Cards or Micro SD Cards to load photos directly to your iPod.
It's 29.90 and temporarily sold out at the time I checked.
But, this is a pretty nifty stocking software and you'll definitely wanna get that one.
All right.
That's gonna do it for this week show.
Send us your email to the applebyte@cnet.com.
I'm Brian Tong.
Thanks for watching and will see you next
week for another byte of the Apple.
-And, oh.
-Hey.
Hello.
101.
Hey.
Brian Rick.
-Stevie Blane coming in, oh.
-Steve Blane coming in on Cross Lane.
I love you.
-It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.
