>> Hi I'm Matthew Moskovciak, assistant editor at CNET dot com and this is the Net Gear EVA 8000 Digital Entertainer HD. Now the Digital Entertainer HD is a network-streaming device and it's designed to stream movies, music, and photos from your PC into your living room. The front panel is pretty bare, there's only a power button on the front so you'll need to use the remote, which we actually thought was pretty nice. If you look at the user interface it's not quite as slick as the Apple TV but the one thing that we did like is that it's very fast. Outside of the gooey [ assumed spelling ] it has a very nice feature set in that there's a wide range of file format support and there's also many additional features such as the ability to watch YouTube videos right onto your TV and you can also look at RSS feeds and get news and weather. Another feature we were surprised to see but were really happy with was the ability for the Digital Entertainer HD to play protected iTunes songs. Usually this is a feature that's only reserved for Apple products. There is an HDMI output that can output up to 10 ADP. There's also a component video and there's also some other ports such as USB ports and you can connect that to a mass storage device instead of streaming things from a computer. For network conductivity there is an Ethernet port for wire connections and for wireless there's 802 dot 11 G although not the faster 802 dot 11 and it's found on the Apple TV. Overall we think this is a very strong product with a good feature set so it will really apply to those who are tech savvy. Although there were some quirks that might bother people that are less familiar with electronics. I'm Matthew Moskovciak from CNET dot come and this is the Net Gear EVA 8000 Digital Entertainer HD.
