All right let's talk about Netflix and that price hike.
Right.
Everybody was freaking out about it the other day.
How much more are we gonna pay?
So it depends on what tier you have, but you're gonna be paying at least a dollar more.
Their basic plan, the bottom basement mark [UNKNOWN] price plan is going up for the first time since it launched basically.
That's going up $1 but most people have the mid tier and high tier plans.
So these are the ones that let you stream on multiple devices at like higher levels of image quality, either high-def or ultra high-def Those are both going up two dollars each.
When I heard the news I got angry and I did a little soul searching.
Do I really need Netflix?
And then I continue to steal my brother's account int the end.
So price rate doens't really effect
No doesn't effect me at all.
And then Netfli has its earnings tonight.
And we have a little more insight to.
That's what I am hoping
This announcement came out just this week, right ahead of their earnings which is kind of unusual for that to happen.
Definitely.
I'm hoping that we'll get more information about why now, especially because three months ago they were kind of vague about.
Yeah.
They definitely were not signalling this was going to be coming soon and it's also happening at a Faster rate than previous hikes have happened.
Previously they would say, hey we're gonna be raising prices, the price raise is gonna start for existing members in like six months or a year.
And these are kind of rolling out over the next couple of months pretty quickly.
[INAUDIBLE] it's just that the price for all the content-
I mean, that's partly it.
I mean they'll be making more money off of each individual user.
They are still gonna have to keep as they have been doing for a long time.
Going and getting tons and tons of debt because even this increase is just gonna be making a dent in the amount that they're spending.
