>> [Tom Merritt:] OS 10 Snow Leopard has improved a lot of the ways you can quickly access your files. Here's how to get a look at files deep inside folders without ever leaving the dock. Now currently in Leopard you have something called "Stacks." You can put a frequently accessed folder in the dock here, right to the right of the dotted line, and when you click on a stack, it opens in a big stack of files. Right-click and choose grid, and the files will open in a translucent window as a grid. Now if you want to open a subfolder, Leopard would send you to the finder, but not anymore. In Snow Leopard -- well, this is the developer's version here, but it's going to be the same in the real release -- you just click on the folder within the grid, and you stay in the grid. Good for quick access to a well organized folder. Hope that shaves a few seconds from your file access. I'm Tom Merritt, CNET.com.
