>> Hi, I'm Todd Marrow [assumed spelling] from cnet.com at CES 2010. We're taking a look at the Microvision SHOWWX. This is an accessory for your mobile phone. Also works, obviously, with an iPod Nano. And it will take your video and project it on a screen. It uses a laser light, rather than DLP to project the screen. And what Microvision hopes is that that'll give you a clearer, brighter picture.
Now, we're in a pretty bright hall here, so it's not gonna pop as well as it would in a darker, theater environment. But essentially, you can pull this back until you get a 200-inch diagonal picture and not lose any focus. This will work with any device with a TV out or a VGA out. So it can work with digital cameras, it can work with music players. Anything that has video out, this will work with. Right now it's available in Spain from Vodafone, and in the Asia Pacific region from Mint Wireless.
Ranges anywhere from the equivalent of $500 to $900. They hope to bring it to the US in March, and it should be available directly from Microvision at $500. It may be available through other outlets as well at various prices. Once again, it is the Microvision SHOWWX external pico projector. See you guys, 2010. I'm Todd Marrow.
