>> Google will launch a voice-operated search application -- we think. A few new touchscreen phones hit the market and Facebook shuts down neo-Nazi group pages. It's Monday, November 17, I'm Natali Del Conte back in New York this week and it's time to get Loaded. ^M00:00:14 [ Music ] ^M00:00:18 >> Google tried to launch a voice-operated search application for iPhone on Friday, but somehow it got delayed. The application supposed to launch today, so iPhone users be on the look-out. According to TechCrunch the delay was Apple's fault, although, I'm not really all that interested at whose fault it was. I just wanna see what it can do. If Google's YouTube demonstration is accurate it will be able to give you location-based results based on voice commands like weather or movie times. >> Pictures of the Golden Gate Bridge at sunset. >> I've only recently started to use voice command applications from my iPhone, such as the Say Who voice command dialer, which I learned about from Download.com. I have really high hopes for Google's version and if you're an iPhone hater, I'm sure Google will roll this out to other phones soon, so be patient. AT&T and Samsung have another touchscreen phone on the lose. It was announced on Friday and it's called the Eternity. Now keep in mind AT&T just launched the touchscreen phone last week, the HTC Fuze. See what Bonnia Cha had to say about it. >> It's very similar to the Sprint version, which we reviewed a couple of weeks ago. There are some slight design changes. First of all, it has an all black casing instead of some silver accents. And on the back, you have that kind of prism like bad cover that we saw on the first HTC Touch Diamond. But it is a little more sleek and you know, holds a lot of smudges and fingerprints if you care about that. On the front, you have a really sharp VGA display as well as the Touch Flow 3D interface. So basically, you can just go through the menus with finger swipes and also look through your emails and photos that we talked about with finger swipes like that. Also it has a built-in QWERTY keyboard, you just slide the screen to the right. Multimedia features include a 2.2-megapixel camera as well as support for AT&T video and its music store. Wireless connections include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AGPS, so you're fully covered and it's also HSDPA, so you get those 3.5 3G speeds. >> The Samsung Eternity will have a slide-out keyboard, 3-megapixel camera, 3.2-inch touchscreen, haptec support and of course 3G. It also does video capture and video chatting. It's also quite lovely based on the photos AT&T released, but we'll reserve judgment on that one until we get a full review here on CNET. AOL is shutting down its user-generated video site. That's right, they had one. It was called AOL Video Uploads. Users have until December 18 to take their videos elsewhere or else lose them forever. The company suggests you try MotionBox or may I suggest YouTube. AOL seems to be pruning the tree lately. Just a few weeks ago, they shut down AOL pictures, Xdrive, My Mobile and BlueString. Maybe they're consolidating their efforts and do something cool that maybe on the way -- probably not, but I just don't wanna contribute to any financial crisis panic by speculation. Microsoft launched Microsoft Store ever so quietly this weekend. When I read this I thought, really, they don't already have one? Apparently, they had not, but now they do. You can buy hardware like their webcams or Zune or software like Office or Windows. Software either comes in a shrink-wrap or as a download. You can find anything and everything Microsoft related at store.microsoft.com. But seriously, why this take them so long? American Airlines will now let you use your mobile phone screen as your boarding pass. The new Mobile Boarding Pass system is an option if you're flying American out of Chicago O-Hare, LAX or John Wayne Airport. What you do is check-in online and then ask that your boarding pass be e-mailed to your phone. The boarding pass will come up to your screen as a 2D barcode for airline personnel to scan in when you get to the gate. Continental Airline started this last year and it seems to be working so far, but with the way airlines are operating these days, I'm surprise they don't charge you extra for this service. If you're a neo-Nazi, you'll have to find another place to express your self because Facebook is no longer having it. The social networking site pulled several Italian neo-Nazi pages late last week due to complaints by European regulators. Apparently, the group pages promoted violence against gypsies. Facebook has been under fire for hateful group pages before. Just last year they removed anti-Islam pages since it is their policy not to host groups that are violent or threatening. Obama staff says that the President-elect will use other technology to keep in touch Americans, such as online question and answer sessions and video interviews. What he will not be doing however is answering your e-mail. The New York Times ran an article on Sunday regarding whether or not Obama will be allowed to keep his beloved BlackBerry. National Security typically prevents the president from maintaining his own e-mail correspondence, but Obama loves his BlackBerry, so he could insist on keeping it. He will, after all be the President. Those are all your headlines for today, but I will see you right back here tomorrow, thank you for watching. I'm Natali Del Conte with CNET TV and you've just been Loaded. ^M00:04:57 [ Music ]
