If you're in the market for a new office printer, this attractive machine bundles plenty of useful features that will save you time and money.
Hi, I'm Justin Yu with CNET.com.
This is your first look at the Lexmark Prevail Pro705.
Its gray-black color is pretty typical for an office printer, but the smooth edges and rounded paper input tray down here make this printer look a little bit more stylish than your traditional laser.
This one's actually an inkjet and it can print professional quality documents for your next business meeting,
but don't expect it to output high resolution snapshot photos.
So the 705 is designed for utility, with this button-based control panel and an auto-document feeder on top that lets you scan or copy a stack of documents at once, and the multifunction could potentially save you money with this small button marked with the green leaf on the right side of the control panel.
That triggers an eco mode that turns on automatic double-sided printing, copying, and faxing with the duplexer on the back,
and an Energy Star certification also cuts down on your eco footprint.
Finally, we liked that the Lexmark includes high-capacity ink cartridges in the box, since most other vendors try to pull a bait-and-switch with cheap hardware and pricey ink costs.
Lexmark does the opposite, however, and for $200, we highly recommend this printer.
