And Scott Stein.
When Apple debut the iPad to -- a year and a half ago the accessory they announced right along with that was the Smart cover.
This very simple forty dollar flap with magnets on the -- that attached pretty magically to the end of the iPad two and became a must have purchased for a lot of people.
It's personal but it never protected the back Andy used to make any folio case for the original iPad that didn't totally its -- the original iPad device.
Now Apple has released a Smart case what is it.
While you'd like to think that it's like a Smart cover with the back and in fact.
You could take your Smart cover and attach it back to it a third party one that'll cost -- anywhere from ten to thirty or forty dollars.
Apple makes a case that does seemingly what that advertises but really it's just folio case that's not bad that's kind of a -- -- case.
The act -- here although it looks -- the Smart cover doesn't attach it's only a polyurethane. And it's very security is a -- secure feel all around.
Nice comfortable grip.
And -- -- like microfiber interior becomes of those six mostly pastel colors the content out of the polyurethane Smart cover green blue pink red.
Also dark gray and lite gray is the dark -- model.
-- a 49 dollars it's ten bucks more than the cost of a Smart cover you just pop it right in here and you're good to go.
And it's really -- think best used for regular reading for -- mode it's a folio case.
And when you pull back.
-- use -- like this and hold it.
As a nice comfortable feel but it does adds an extra bezel to the edges which you're gonna -- critical terms of look and feel.
Makes it a little bit different terms of the weight rests and when -- -- keyboard mode.
And going to that the rest a little bit differently and if you're used to typing a lot on the virtual keyboard on the iPad that might -- -- off.
It's also stands up in the landscape mode.
Just like the Smart cover but it -- pretty wobbly.
In a way that I really could recommend for most people.
Warning use -- for ideas and -- ago to folio case and if you loved the original iPad case that -- micro fiber one that it's kind of a dust magnet.
Well you're gonna love this because it feels around the edges in terms of the way that covered vessels in.
And and the total package is like the return of that.
Unlike a Smart cover there are no magnets here in the hinge though there are magnets inside the top -- like it is the case of a lot of iPad cases which weeks and up from sleep.
When you open it on an iPad -- -- third gen iPad.
The polyurethane covers everything on the site except for the dock connector the sound mode switch.
And the camera lens on the back even the volume buttons are covered up here which is actually kind of nice because if you're looking for protection.
Maybe that'll -- to splash resistance this does feel like a pretty nice overall steel.
There are a lot of other solutions out there and iPad cases.
At 49 dollars this is really not a bad one and all I'm Scott Stein and that's a look at the new Smart case where the -- -- to you and there and I.
