What's up?
Bryan (Tom?) here and welcome to the Apple (Wiper?).
All the good and bad inside the world of Apple.
Now, there's plenty of news and the Apply by team will also help you out during this holiday season with a special app but first with the stories.
The iPad's renews rumors keep racking up and a display search analyst recently pulled CNET, a QXGA 2048 by 1536 resolution panel has started production and these 3 suppliers are Samsung Sharp and LGD.
Now 3 suppliers is more than normal and it showed the challenge of manufacturing enough of these high res screens at high quantities.
The reports says the displays will not be (annno?) led screens and Apple will be using the same (IPS?) technology that's used in the current iPad.
Now, iLounge reports that the 3rd gen iPad will be point 7 millimeters thicker to accommodate the twin light bars to needed ports high res display as well.
(??) Article also says Apple is interested in making a 7.85 inch tablet if the market also shows there's a demand for it.
So how much demand is there really in this market for tablets.
There's lot of hypes around in the 7 inch kindle fire but NPD pays a picture that doesn't look so pretty for any other competitor not named iPad at the moment.
In the first 10 months of 2011, the total number of non iPad tablets sold in the US was 1.2 million units.
And the company that came out on top was the HTC Touchpad which managed to take 17% of non iPad tablet sales with it's $99 fire sales.
Samsung was second with 16% and ASUS was 3rd at 10.
In comparison, although Apple doesn't reveal original number, they sold 11.2 million iPads worldwide in the last quarter alone doubling the previous quarter with a lot more explosive growth expected this holiday season.
And speaking of the holidays, you're all probably looking for some killer deals on Apple's hardware, the big A fuse it's Black Friday sale for Friday.
Last year, they offered $101 off iMacs, Mac (??) and discounts from 11 to $41 off of iPods and iPads.
So, you can expect similar discount but nothing like a buy 1 or get 1 free.
Now your best bet really is to check out 3rd party Apple resellers like MacMall, Mac Connection and Best Buy whether it's before or after Thanksgiving.
All right, let's keep things in the holiday spirit and check out our apps of the week.
You're with your friends, food is on the table but Thanksgiving isn't always the most pleasant experience.
Hey guys, guys.
If this thing is your dish for the night.
It's Jam time.
Look at that...
Hold my (apple?) buddy.
What should I do.
The app of the week is (Cal?) Thanksgiving Dinner Coach and it's free.
It will get you set up with 8 sure fire hit recipes.
We'll build a shopping list for you to take with you on the go and it includes a schedule and cooking instructions for each dish.
So Bryan, let's try that again.
Hey, guys.
Check it out.
It's the signature dish of the night.
It's Jan time.
Look at this.
What do we got here?
One for you, one for you and one for you.
What would I do with that...
Thank you (Cal?) Thanksgiving Dinner Coach.
Way to go Tom.
Way to give it your all.
From the dental (??) coach.
All right.
On to the quick bite, we've talked on the show about how the iPhone 4 was the most popular camera phone on Flicker.
It still holds that title but the new kid on the block, the iPhone 4S has now moved on up and it's claimed the number 2 spot with the 3G and 3GS trailing behind it.
Also, Apple has one control of several domain names after filing a complaint with the World Intellectual Property Organization to claim your (??) name and use the word iPhone and forwarded them to (Nutty part site?) so that prank won't work on your friends anymore.
And believe it or not, a nationwide study by Metrical Wireless shows that AT&T has the fastest iPhone 4S data speed for both upload and download and I can tell you in terms of scope that's absolutely the case as well.
Although Sprint have the best voices quality, it was also found to have the most dropped calls based on their (TAT?).
And finally, check out this cool photo lens dial case from Photo Jojo for the iPhone 4 and 4S.
It has 3 lenses, a wide angle, fish eye and telephoto lens that you can rotate and two tripod mounts.
Now, this thing looks amazing but it will also cost you 249 bucks.
But it's one of those cool accessories that we wanted to show you.
All right.
That's gonna do it for this weeks show.
Send us your e-mails to the (applebythecnet.com?).
I'm Bryan (Tom?).
Thanks for watching.
We'll see you guys next week for another bite of the Apple.
Hey, guys.
Who ate my pie?
Come on who would do such a thing.
I'll tell you who.
Bryan Tom...
You ate it?
You want some pie?
He just told me...
