-Hi everyone, this is Jessica Dolcourt for CNET, I'm here with the HTC Amaze for 4G with T-Mobile.
This was one of the 2 phones that were announced earlier today at the Mobilize conference in Francisco.
Now, the phone is very similar in design and in the specks to the HTC Sensation 4G.
It has a 4.3-inch QHD display.
It also has a 1.5 gigahertz dual core processor
and it runs android gingerbread version 2.3.4.
So, it's very great.
One of the things you should know about this phone is it's got an 8 mega pixel camera on the back just like some of the other phones out there, but T-Mobile is declaring that this is actually the best camera phone on the market, which is something we heard before.
We heard it with the T-Mobile myTouch 4G slide.
What makes this one even better, according to them, is that it's got 2 new features.
One of those features is called smart shot and what it does
is basically takes 5 pictures in quick succession and that amalgamates the best features into one single photo.
The other camera features called perfect fix and what it does is it takes the most technically perfect pictures about the top 10% and it puts it its own separate album and from there you can review them.
You can share them with friends.
You can upload them to your social networks.
I should also mention that this phone has 1080p HD video capture and playback.
Another thing you should know about this phone
is that it one of the 2 running on T-Mobile's HSPA+42 network, which is basically an even faster version of the their 4G HSPA+ network.
So, the speed on this phone should be a little bit faster than the Sensation 4G.
Now, you're gonna ask yourself how does this phone looks and feels in the hand and I'm gonna say it looks and feels pretty good.
Like I said before, it's got about the same body and built as the Sensation 4G.
HTC adds a lot of these metal features and finishes in its [unk], so looks really classy.
It also has this nice soft touch finish on the part of the back cover and that really helps with grip and it helps from getting your phone to gum up with your finger oil.
You can get the phone in 2 colors.
There is the black version that I've got right here and it also comes in white.
It's available on October 12 for 259 dollars and 99 cents.
