>> Dan: I'm Dan Ackerman and we're here with the HP G60-235DX. Now that last little jumble of numbers is important because there are a lot
of HP G60's out there; this is a specific fixed configuration retail model you go to the store and you buy it right off the shelf. Now we've
recently rounded up about 2 dozen of these retail systems and in the category that we call entry-level laptops under $600 this one
was our favorite of those retail models that are just boxed up, you know, take it to the checkout counter and you're ready to go.
Compared to a lot of the other entry-level laptops we looked at in this round up this one has an Intel CPU instead of an AND CPU that
a lot of the less expensive systems have. It's not a Core 2 Duo but it is an Intel Dual Core, the difference is not gonna be too
noticeable for everyday use like web surfing, working on Word documents, basic media playback. Now you also get a 16 by 9 15 inch
screen and that lets them squeeze in a whole separate number pad over here which is something that is pretty hard to find on a smaller
15 inch laptop. You don't get too many extras but you do get 3 Gigs of RAM which is good for an entry-level laptop and its got one
of HP's light scribed drives that if you buy the special blank Vidia [phonetic] you can actually burn gray scale text and images on your CD's and
DVD's, again, a nice extra for such an inexpensive laptop. I'm Dan Ackerman and that is the HP G60-235DX.
