Highlights from Google's I/O, Nintendo says no Virtual Console for Switch

This is CNET and here are the stories that matter right now. With Google's IO event underway, we're getting a glimpse at some of the technology the company is working on. Android P, the next mobile operating system will focus more on AI features like adapted battery technology, learning your common habits, gestures similar to Apple's iPhone X. [MUSIC] Google also demoed AI voice technology called Duplex, that has voice so life-like can already successfully interact with humans, making reservations, or scheduling appointments. [MUSIC] Uber hasn't build a flying car demo, but hopes to roll out in 2-5 years. Vehicles look like large drones and will start off with human pilots, but eventually fly autonomously. The plan is to have them fly around 2000 feet above the ground and premier first in Dallas Fort Worth and Los Angeles to start. Finally, Nintendo has said, there will be no virtual console for the Switch It still plans to offer retro gaming options through a different platform. So while retro games won't be carried under a virtual console banner there should still be alternative ways to enjoy classic games on the Switch down the road.
