GTA Online hit with launch problems
It's not easy logging into a life of crime.
I'm Bridget Carey and this is your CNET Update.
The online multiplayer world of Grant Theft Auto V experienced some server issues when it launched Tuesday.
Players hit roadblocks not being able to log on, as well as other bugs.
Rockstar Games apologized for the connection problems with these launched issues were expected for such a massive open-world
game.
Rockstar did say last week that players should expect growing pains like crashes and glitches.
Grand Theft Auto 5 has become the biggest game release of the year, wracking up more than $1 billion in sales in just the first three days of its release.
The document library Script is launching an eBook subscription service.
For $9 a month, users can access a library of thousands of eBooks from the app but the choice of books is still limited.
For example, some new releases and bestsellers are
not included and you'll have to pay extra for those titles.
But this whole concept of having a Netflix for books is an area that's growing fast.
Another similar service is Oyster which costs $10 a month for access to digital books on your phone and tablet and Amazon began tinkering with a similar concept just for kids, it's called Kindle FreeTime Unlimited.
It costs $5 a month for access to kids books, games and apps but only for the Kindle Fire tablet.
On Facebook, you'll soon be able to use the search
bar to look up status updates, photo captions, check-ins and comments.
The search can be broad or narrow down to post about a topic by your friends, or you could use it to search for post that you made within a certain timeframe.
It's launching this week to a limited group of users and will slowly roll out to more people.
But what you will notice sooner is another social media shortcut button that's added to websites and stories.
Along with buttons for liking, pinning and tweeting, you could see a Spotify follow button.
Spotify launched a
web button that anyone can embed as a shortcut to follow person's music streaming library on the service.
If you're looking for adorable video cameras to attach to a bike, car, or even a surfboard, GoPro is now selling a new line of cameras called the HERO3+.
This is an upgrade to the line that came out last year.
There are three models.
The top-end $400 HERO3+ black has a lighter and smaller body, 30% longer battery life and better sound quality.
So, cut down on those
wind roar noises.
GoPro has become the popular way to record sports videos.
Three GoPro videos are uploaded to YouTube per minute on average.
