Google under fire with EU for breaching antitrust rules

During a press conference in Brussels, the European Union competition commissioners said that it is charging Google with unfair business practices.
In Europe, 80% of smart mobile devices run the Android operating system.
The EU claims that Google pressures phone makers to preinstall its services like the Chrome web browser and search engine in exchange for access to the Google Play store.
In a statement the head of the commission said we believe that Google's behavior denies consumers a wider choice of mobile apps and services and stands in the way of innovation.
This comes after a formal, year long investigation by the EU on Google's dominance of the mobile OS landscape.
In response, Google said its partnership with other companies foster a remarkable and sustainable ecosystem based on open source software and open innovation.
The case is ongoing, but it doesn't look like it's going to have much of an impact on Google just yet.
I don't know about you, but I use Chrome as my browser already.
And as for the search engine, what were you using anyway, Bing?
