So these products are all powered by Google Assistant Connect.
They're not actually gonna be in stores.
They're just concepts demoing what this new platform could be.
Think of it like a bridge Google assistant connect is allowing this device to do little to no computing .It's going to send any query to a google home mini or any Google assistant product so that this is doing all the heavy lifting and this can just show the cool thing.
So I can press on this button and it can turn on the lights.
This can continuously show traffic information or weather.
And again, it's not processing anything itself.
All it's doing is sending a simple command to your Google Home Mini through Bluetooth.
The Google Home Mini sends that command up to the cloud, receives the necessary information, and it comes back down here and shows what I need to know.
So this is an opportunity for manufacturers to have a smart device that doesn't need to do the processing.
It will also allow people to have a variety of smart home devices that will be very easy to set up Because the Google Home Mini will handle.
So what's this actually gonna look like when you can buy it?
We don't know, Google's talking to a variety of manufacturers here at CES.
And we're gonna expect to see updates at their developer conference in May.
And they're trying to figure out how exactly to integrate this into a variety of devices.
At the end of the day, it's going to allow manufactures to focus on the hardware, while Google does the creative stuff behind the scenes to make these devices smart.
