GameSpot's The Lobby - Fallout 4: We review both controllers

Okay, so I'm biased because I've already spent my money on this. It's on the wrong hand. It's upside down, but don't worry about it. [Laughter] You corrected it. Let me. I want your opinion on it Build quality. Build quality. This is actually really nice. This is a sturdier thing than I would have thought. I mean, it's $100. I If this were a piece of ****. It's $120. It'll have an app which will connect up to the video game, which is out in some stage in the future. Yeah. We don't know. Nope. And if we did we couldn't tell you. [LAUGH] And then you can play the video game, apparently, with this on. Yeah. So it's nice and light as well, do you think. Yeah. It's not heavy, there's Velcro. It feels like a kind of metal. That's the only metal thing on it. Yeah. In fact, the one thing about the Velcro I wasn't so sure, is we had a wee bit of trouble opening it up for the bone. Yeah, it. Do you want to try again? Let's see. Okay. So we had to push it. Oh no. I'm going to break this. [SOUND] We had to push it up, like this right here comes out. Yeah, and it can fit so many kinds of phones. It can fit this kind of phone, and this kind. Are you aware that this goes down? Yeah, I think that's what you do. To pull it up or something. It feels kind of plasticky, and when you're trying to get it back in, it doesn't click nice. I'm sweating. [LAUGH] [LAUGH] Yeah let me see if I can. It's so like, I'm so afraid to break it. It's so delicate. Yeah cause it's like, kind of pop it up, and that's where the phone goes, but when you put it back in again you see it kind of catches this weird part? Yeah. So you have to like lift it up and, what I'm saying is if you were taking this thing off and putting it on again over and over. Yeah, keep an eye out. It might, cause look if I try to force this down to like It's a fashion accessory. This is how I would want to use it. That's really neat, you push it down and push it that way. It seems un-stylish to get one of those hip holsters. But at the same time I don't like keeping my phone in my pocket. You know, I have a smart watch here. It's too small I can't do anything with this. It's useless. This is my phone on my wrist. That's amazing. Well, you know, smart watches are all about peacocking, right? So what's like the ultimate smart phone peacock? It's this. Yeah, this looks dumb. But nobody can not see that. This does look dumb, but imagine if ->> It just falls. It's ridiculous. So, I have no idea. The real test is gonna be how How it works, yeah. Because Blizzard have now. Sorry not Blizzard. Bethesda have now, it will be the third app they have launched this year. There is a new app that just came out today. That lets you chat. That lets you chat. Did you download it? No. I did. Can someone else please download it as well so that im not just sending emojis to people that can't see. You can at least in the Android version of it you can open it up and then send those icons to other services. So we use it, in work we use Slack. We do. So you can send those gifs [CROSSTALK] Oh really? Great. [LAUGH] My question for you Danny is when the game comes out are you gonna be wearing this 24/7? I'm gonna give it a [UNKNOWN] wait when I'm playing the game 24/7 or? No we should see how long you can go wearing this thing. Oh [CROSSTALK] I'll wake up in the morning and it'll be like broken underneath my waist. [LAUGH] Well you can take it off when you sleep and you shower. Okay. But it'll be interesting to see. I can't wait to see what it's going to be like actually like playing. Like for in elongated cuz Fallout's a game you can easily play like five, six, seven- You get lost in it. It seems like this would- [CROSSTALK] I mean, you could, right? You could get lost in it. We don't know how long [CROSSTALK] [CROSSTALK] When you play Fallout 3, you get lost. Am I right? Yeah, so presumably, if you were to play four, you would get lost in there for awhile. [INAUDIBLE] I would be afraid that it would be cutting off circulation to my hand, which could have positive benefits, as well. But when I'm just wearing it. A stranger. What? Yeah, the stranger. [LAUGH] [CROSSTALK] Mary's screaming vine. So if this isn't, of course you don't actually have to wear this, you can just, it can be a Yeah. a collectible thing. A [UNKNOWN] piece. It comes with a stand, sits in their, which [INAUDIBLE], but it's not the only dumb Fallout thing. [CROSSTALK] That you bought today. No. God dammit. And this controller Oh boy. Is available. Or not really available anymore which costs Which was available for about 24 hours. Yeah it was sold pretty quick. Yeah this costs $75. Nobody saw that. Nobody saw it fall over. This cost 75 bucks before shipping. [LAUGH] I'm not really sure- Nobody is looking. To be fair, normal controllers also are pretty pricey. For $50, yeah. [UNKNOWN] Xbox One. So this takes a headset, just any regular headset, you can plug in there. It does. It has a new button. It has a button that lets you mute. Yeah. And it lights up when it's working. I don't think it matters. Just so you know, this isn't like a sponsored thing. I think it's super cute. We're just showing this off so you can decide if you want to buy this controller with its ten foot USB cable. [LAUGH] Wow. For all you people who live in [LAUGH] Who have like- Who live in the wasteland, far away->> From a television. From a television. I'd buy this for that cable. That's an awesome cable. You want a cheap USB cable, with a free controller. Ten And it's wired only as well. You can't see it, but the buttons are also somewhat customized. Yes.>> For Fallout. So when you press left there's a controller button. When you press right there's a little person. That's super cute.>> And it feels all right. Feels like a controller.>> No Playstation version?>> No. No Playstation version. Damn.>> I kind of feel like the fact that this is wired as well means there It's a PC controller, you know what I mean? It will work at the box with Windows 10 or Windows 7 or 8, I think, as well. And now there's now a wireless adapter for Xbox One controllers. Correct. It's $25, I think. I'm not sure how much this one was. There you go. That's already fun I think. I can't wait to eventually play the video game and then we can talk about it. Yeah. But until then you get to look at all these wonderful things and we can imagine. Yeah. What it would be like. We can show them to you as viewers to see if you want to purchase them as well. But I sure can't wait to play Fallen. You can't purchase either of those, can you? This is all after market stuff. You're basically saying hey you should go on eBay and buy these for thousands of dollars. No! I doubt, yeah, they did a second run of the Pit Boys. They did a third one. I wouldn't be surprised No. Oh really? That was went over multiple times and sold out each time. Oh. The only way to get these things now is buy [CROSSTALK] We would love it. Talk about Fallout 4 stuff. This is the only way we're able to do it so Look at our toys This is the thing. Hey on a completely different note, what did you play over the weekend?
