Facebook's new search makes it easy to dig up old posts
Searching on Facebook will never be the same.
I'm Bridget Carey and this is your CNet update.

Facebook is making search much easier on the desktop and mobile by letting you search for any word in someone's post.
So if you remember that your friend Lisa shared some cookie recipe last week and you wanna find it again, you can just search the phrase, cookie recipe Lisa, to find that post.
You don't have to go to Lisa's page and scroll through her time line.
This little trick also means it's easier for people to find your really old posts, like party photos from years ago you thought were buried deep, deep down in your feed.
Privacy settings are your friend.
You can also search for a word without being.
Friend specific.
So that lets you see if any of your friends ever mentioned a certain vacation spot, for example.
And it makes Facebook a useful research tool.
virtual reality is now within the grasp of the average consumer.
That is, if the consumer has a Galaxy 4 Note phone and an extra 200 dollars to spare.
The Samsung Gear VR headset is now on sale online.
It was created in partnership with Occulus.
That's the company Facebook purchased for 2 billion dollars this year.
This version is the innovator edition since it's still in its early product phase and we're all here to be lab rats for major corporations.
You snap on your Galaxy Note 4 to the front and it becomes your screen.
There are 17 virtual reality programs available now.
After years of hype around VR, this is the first product Oculus has made for consumers, but it doesn't mean you should jump out and get it.
For starters, there are some serious health warnings in the manual.
It says children under 13 should not wear it.
You need to consult a doctor before using it pregnant, elderly, or if you have a heart condition.
You're supposed to take a 15 minute break every half hour to avoid adverse symptoms like seizures, eye strain, visual abnormalities, or having your subconscious forever trapped in a virtual universe.
Well, I'm not sure if that last one really can happen, but you never know.
And as the end of the year draws near, Google has released a list of the most watched YouTube videos of 2014.
Topping the list is a video made by a Polish prankster.
A hidden camera reveals people getting freaked out by a dog dressed up as a hairy mutant giant spider.
It was viewed over 113 million times.
As you would expect, many commercials also make the trending list.
But taking the number five spot is the iPhone 6 Plus bend test by Unbox Therapy.
Which caused us all to cringe a little in late September.
It has more than 59 million views.
So remember kids, you too can make lots of money on YouTube by scaring people with spiders and breaking $700 smartphones.
That's your tech news update, there's always more at CNET.com.
From our studios in New York, I'm Bridget Carey.
