Today is Thursday November 10 2011 my name -- Stephen -- I'm Donald now and I'm Brian's song on the buzz allows cnet's podcast of indeterminate -- Today's episode is 1566. We are here holding down the studio holding down the fort. Now announced San Francisco and pretty much the whole entire city what's happening right now with CNET proper our entire property everyone a lot of our editors are over. Out in New York right now we have this a shot that we're gonna go to live right now which is our cnet.com. Pop -- store. Or experience sessions a story is accurate I'm not -- except credibility. Still it's over at 201 mulberry this is out in the SoHo area in little Italy. And what you guys can do out there if you -- in the New York area. Is head out there we have a much of gadgets technology. Is everywhere including LED lights and did their abundance as you can see -- we have like how -- panels. You can talk to the editors on site and then later tonight at 6:30 PM there's going to be a CNET. -- them now one thing we do need to -- -- -- that if you look on your map for -- if you're not. In a fine and can pick it. Doctor visits you fictional -- line Batman and the -- sales -- will pop right up. I -- makes a cameo I was steaming cup but it's been mostly about that -- -- you know I was I wish I was there that I should of just. Dogs blown over in a bat man's suit I would be a smaller version of that mentally and just -- here -- -- -- -- -- as -- authority is walking there likely confused Robin Mike -- that's how. Is Batman with his super -- you were doing -- -- so I anyways you guys. You -- -- experience and I know some evil which Aaron -- will be going over there I'm Molly Wood will be joining us a leader in this show with a live report. From the CNET -- them experience. Yes again Gotham the Ontario side -- break -- you guys. But let's get to the stories in a story that broke yesterday and that is still a hot topic today. Adobe if you didn't hear release and announcement for the for them to be ceasing development. On the mobile browser version of flash. Refocusing their efforts on html five when it when I saw this headline I was like -- and might -- bad that's crazy armed. But they have decided to move forward and relieve. But they're old and do -- behind -- him up by this is the statement. But they release this was scooped up by Xena had this is an exclusive from our sister site -- -- -- Adobe said our future work with flash on mobile devices will be focused on enabling flash developers the package native apps. With Adobe air for all major app stores we will no longer adapt Flash Player for mobile devices to new browser. OS version or device configurations. Civil -- and they go running on but really here. The note is they're gonna focus on a flat Adobe air based apps. But no support for flash on mobile browser they're stopping. This is like that grand you have the accused is still -- on the -- and has been denying it -- -- dying and it was dying to be -- be denial for years and years and it's like. You know what chair OK -- and and then. -- five we're gonna go that's the future for Adobe but man this is the repercussions of this I haven't actually seen want to talk about is how much. A lot of the Smartphones and tablets that are competing against. -- -- The iPhone or iPad are hanging their hat on flash compatibility that's in the huge thing -- -- you want Adobe Flash she got a deal this. You gotta have an Android tablet. And -- slate. -- -- meg and Adobe I think -- great tablets that run their stuff anymore you know that's an. Excellent -- because like you said it's always been even people that are let's say. I have I Apple products verses not -- Android products and -- -- -- the right you don't get the whole real web experience and from first hands plane on a lot of Android devices. I'd be the first tell -- I -- the only device that I felt even. Displayed flash properly and it felt smooth enough. Was the Blackberry Playbook. Yeah IS and CNET and I'd say the same thing and that. And asked saw little thing this morning that's now on the -- -- careless about. -- commitment to their version of flash on the playbook and that inferred for their. They'll -- moving forward the -- how to work into doing. To doing flash on their device is better than anybody else. Yet now if you wanna talk about -- -- -- in flash fail we all know how. On how Apple is our Steve -- it was really outspoken against last but at the same time. I would and I could've put the blame here on. Apple -- fully on Apple. Killing -- I don't think Apple necessarily kill flash I think one of -- Green meetings that we sized. On devices. Flash continued to promise like were released in the next version of flash it'll be good it'll be great and the implementation and execution of it. Really fell short and Android devices and -- diddle little breakdown of how flash performed on a variety of devices and we talk about this. And what we look at something like you know phones like the Droid X the Nexus One and I had to Atrix some of these popular phones when you're talking about. Video quality in streams that they send out they looked at how many frames. While were dropped or were not you know when they tested this if let's say it's thirty frames per second for the video that we see. -- frames are dropped here -- look at some of the performance on the -- with 720. 480. You're dropping 11% 9% 34%. As much on the Atrix and we know. That's that's even before if the flash file even loads properly because it takes time alone on -- device. It's yet and the other thing too this is also that it's. It's not HTML five. Has and people are going wild about this issue -- -- development and uptake is still slow and steady. And is Everyman kind knows they have look at this is the future for that for the web. But it's not like people are going nuts for HD -- five is -- that flash has continued to suck so badly like. Adobe has no one to blame but themselves for you know all these performance issues you. The other thing too that its interest thing about this is that. Adobe isn't isn't this is -- not only putting their -- an additional five but they're talking about. Adobe air and apps as being the future for it. Mobile devices -- and for their own kind of business plan. And that. You know the fact he can't get all of all of the flash enabled web on mobile devices. May not be such a big deal now that people are seeing that what people are really doing with -- -- is -- is using apps that if you really wanna deal to make some money. As a developer to developer tool for people time. Helping people make better apps and how that cross platform compatibility is it's a better service to provide and then some. Old clunker of -- and -- of the web -- you're you're right about the decent L -- adoption I remember when we first saw IOS roll out. In a lot of a lot of stuff basic like. These sites are displayed a little bit of video they just wouldn't work but as you've seen after -- like year one. You start sees some of those sites also need to go when you press a video and you Michael actually works -- read the slow adoption and -- -- up -- -- up. One of the things that Steve Jobs depend on. Flash. Was that you know with the mobile area here he he would put out his statement about like you know this is made for low power devices touch interfaces and open web standards. And those are three things is that flash and -- house. I remember that the first tablet they came out on the heels of the iPad was the fusion garage -- tablet yes -- their -- -- was like if you it will all we really have is the browser I personally don't have the apps. And the second thing you think you're gonna get the full flash experienced. Here's -- thing is that if you want you gonna go do a flash game you need to deal with two fingers instead of one finger as we've got like different controls. This is no way in flash -- distinguish -- -- ease of fingered scroll up and now web page or control your. Virtual hockey stick or -- -- picture you're playing the game so yes it's kind of a relic from when you're you do mean. -- around the mouse I feel like flash is gonna be like the animated gifts ten years from now who baseless it teachers across on its gonna be like a throw back a. -- -- crash medio and -- be itching to see -- I've blasts still clearly has a place. On desktop computers and laptops right now but that's going to change wood and let's also gonna change is the fact that we had desktop computers and laptops and -- should now be announced here so and everything seems to be just. Midnight lead charging forward towards mobile -- wonder if about the cloud formation up in the sky ST it was like -- face of Steve Jobs smiling -- if we -- about this. It's you could see the thing about as. He was in his where he was very driven and is not always -- but -- this -- When someone says this is how it's gonna work and this is how it's gonna be and what it turns out that you know in hindsight OK whether -- can say he was right or wrong. Always the way that the -- spell and he was at least right to a certain degree of his idea of if flash was going to last or. Live on the mobile platform successfully like these. He said it's really the -- its Adobe's fault more than anything else that they weren't able to make it -- name or. Come Alice on a different tool. That was more you know it instead of -- -- the legacy that flashes. Scrapped. I don't wanna say treating -- center but scrapped -- at least come up with a tool that the display the same type of content that was optimize for mobile devices which didn't happen. Because. If if it was really that well for if it did perform properly and it was running well on low power devices I. I don't think Apple would have turned turned their back on it so quickly via I think -- -- was able to. The implemented with the right way they would have done it. Testified that the one of the bigger follow through this in the near term is just gonna be devices not being up to brag about flash compatibility as each thing at its its. Dead Man Walking absolutely so. We will see how long flash lives -- we -- to have a death watch sound for our Mina would have a for Blackberry you have it for flash. -- not looking to -- it has been slowly rendering flash animation conclusion that the a little the little little -- certainly time -- guys also in other news. This week it happened earlier in the week -- still lots we talked about Barnes & Noble unveiled their 249 dollar -- tablet -- an answer. To the Amazon Kindle fire which we've been expecting you know they also lower the price on their -- touch. Upload their simple touch reader as well to compete with Amazon. But this is this is gonna be the the war -- during the holiday season for that 200 dollar ish. Tablet that's on Apple Tablet you kind of did a comparison article about Kindle fire. And a tablet I -- we can you maybe talking about a few the specs and to scan a Samir a guy. And also -- -- back up and say in Barnes and Noble's defense. The Kindle fire is response to in the color brightness and color really fired the first shot oh -- -- -- idea. Beta way -- right right right I do think that the it was -- I think in the people's minds right now is that it is. This is milk. The Kindle fire which hasn't come out yet because suddenly some -- is happy -- -- -- Kindle fire if that's -- around but -- I think that. I -- I do think Barnes & Noble should get they do that the a year ago a little over a year ago. You know fired the first shot with the will cost. Color screen tablet U meter. That they went to admit at the time with the tablet -- than useless they -- slowly they pretty quickly changed their their. Their tactic on that what they realize how successful weren't buying them -- -- them merely as Android a proper version of Android on there. There are pretty happy to call of the tablet. I will call whenever you want to keep buying it it I think is there. -- but yet its sound is gonna be an interesting holiday season I think that there's a lot going for the net tablet especially if you're looking at it. On specs -- and that's but I have that trifecta together. Really -- spec comparison without getting into the more of philosophical and featured are like tests offer features of the of the different devices on he had the had. The -- tablet. Its commitment to 49 it is the same prices via the natural color color and -- -- -- -- to 199 red -- kind of surprising that they didn't lower income out. You know right against that 199 price point. Especially as -- someone to -- would see as the underdog as -- competitor. I -- all version of the Nook Color is down to women and those who want it that have. But you're getting as sixteen gigs of ram vs eight gigs. Or SI sixteen gigs of storage vs the eight -- that are on the dead to Kindle fire which is -- for a lot of people of the one of the sticking points of the Kindle fire how much it's reliant on the cloud keep -- content. An -- that. In a -- to keep everything -- -- -- local media consumption mean -- we do like Danny Diggs on a tablet tennis seems a little or that he didn't even Apple feels like the lowest. Lowest its configuration they're gonna do on their iPad succeed. Sixteen seems to be more comfortable zone for people leased for tablets that people feel -- like laptop isn't -- like a Smartphone. -- yet -- micro SD memory expansion again speaking to that storage issue. On the other hand. On some kind needs that because they don't have the same kind of robust cloud storage in and processing architecture that Amazon. Now only has -- it's like. Kind of be for the number one provider of in terms of web services. All that stuff so there's a lot of there's a lot of meat to it. Right now I'm leaning one way unlike what would I buy personally who might win the war yeah I feel -- -- -- that the Kindle fire still has a lot more. -- lot more interesting -- like an unknown thing like this. And a tablet. They didn't it's like the iPhone 3GS. The killing of feeding change. Like much about the hardware and actually having handled hello hello all when in the new one. Usually mean except for new new color there's no. I've difference between the hardware is a little bit later on that -- the screen is a little bit different there's no little -- -- gap between the little button segment and that says the rest of classic courses anyway it's. -- details but that I I think that the Kindle fire disposal interest and it's got the better. -- it's d.s to these two products are really more of the general consumer that. The -- -- nine is gonna be -- also the Amazon has has a brand name that people feel comfortable with them. Also Amazon has a ton of services -- The nook still at the end of the day from whatever third party apps that the install on the -- and that's about it. That's that's it like they they can they can do it every day can make a lot of efforts to bring other people on board to help you provide content. Bag -- if the Kindle fire you've got one -- registration like the iPad. To have your credit card -- the power of any music purchases you want to make any video purchases is -- wanna do. Books magazines. Apps may have -- you know a really pretty -- one of the better third party app stores out there. And so they there's a lot more fun to be had on -- I would think in theory when the when -- we -- the review unit. Two what's the review gonna come up -- of approximately for the Kindle fire. As a going to be don't know around I can neither confirm nor deny an -- -- -- -- give -- a -- June hathead Baghdad. -- a lot of our coverage on port in the next few weeks is that we need more of more analysis of this. This battle stay -- -- someone has in the charitable Alec I have this attend ascent and I guess I -- -- -- -- also on just the kind of -- -- I can ask you don't have to answer. What all other things going around of the note and the Kindle Barnes and Noble's wants the Department of Justice to probe into Microsoft's patent tactics. We talked a lot about this -- gonna show how Microsoft is targeted companies. To pretty much. Extracts or extort royalties for a many Android devices. That are violating in -- you know their patents for interfaces and uses you know simple things like the menu bars. -- but it. It is -- legitimate Barnes and Barnes & Noble though is asking the department justice to investigate their tactics com and tried to thwart. Saying that they're trying to thwart their competition with flimsy. Infringement claims they've already been successful with HTC. Some of these smaller tablet makers. But no it doesn't want to do something like pay a fifteen dollar royalty that Microsoft. -- had asked Samsung to pay for their devices fifteen dollars on a product like this that's a lot of money was also I I feel bad for these. Companies that do so much worked to use. Completely. Redo and grade in now look at the whole the whole stack of code and and tweak it and did -- make it their own. And then they're still having to deal about Android legacy. Of whatever Microsoft's claim is to be makes money off of that. But yeah it's also there and economists I mean in the in the big scheme of things Barnes & Noble still small enough manufacture. Than just play it. Play it risky -- don't you think it's funny how -- they can. Let's see only CBI's coming Guinness also on the in case you were one name with -- Kindle fire vs -- situation. Its Kindle really scared about this what are they doing. Doesn't seem to -- really stopping Amazon it at all because -- times reports. That in addition to Amazon already bumping up their units. Other orders for Kindle fires at from the manufacturing side from 3.5 to four million -- now also increased it. An additional one million units. Peaceful people want their cheap tablet people like the fire I after I saw the note at the new -- tablet. I had a Kindle fire computers -- you know sometime -- just pre -- than just an activist -- -- I'm not get any when you already have a tablet you like I'm not gonna buy something else I just -- my pre orders. And I -- want -- -- money -- We'll put you sit here with your iPad. Out -- a bullet Merrill is everything you know I am gonna grab my MacBook Air India Iran and now have lately had an ethernet adapter for eight. Hate to injury compensation and narrative. And Minnesota with ethnic and -- -- just pre order everything possess how to roll. -- -- -- -- -- Just out of the on this little cottage you might be able to. Alright guys already in the -- it is nice its its air wing. Are you guys are gonna take a -- we come back Warner Bros. taking -- files they never even saw also rim. Trying to switch things up with their Blackberry phones they're -- -- OS and also Syria we find out the voice. The myth the legend and behind -- demand series the man series. Syrian man -- men. Both -- -- from their off week. I don't -- aegis ballistic. I'll end was a problem yet will -- Blackberry. Is don't let. Was may run had -- I -- doubt it's completely -- -- OEMC that lets -- -- This trial on orange. Got a few blacks books usually alone do he had so it and -- I didn't get -- that's -- working well could be an appetite you the issue. Let you still have -- wheat which on my dad still. We could try use -- a mouse to drag directly to the trash. They're not yet done that you marble and launch the black leaf in the -- still. Child molest him this is -- from Brooklyn. And I understand that we how to get like a special card to come here from Jersey or something that can happen because we are needed to -- got them. I that we all. There on our all of that looked as though I love the whole content of the pop up space just like don't. A white board and we fill it up with all of our local. And gadgets. Right now we're gonna make Charlie worked a little bit for many echoed down the Ayers and to -- the rest of the year it. Everyone -- just come in and play with whatever gadgets they want. Check things out we have a bunch of buzz out loud fan and you're actually gonna talk them permanent because there are some names you will definitely got into a normal very exciting. This is the rest of the space. I mean it looked -- look. We have laptops along the -- -- about 3-D TVs to check out these are like sponsor walls from. LTE and Energizer and -- -- -- comparison and then in the -- back here. We have setup our whole home entertainment living room apartment thank you thank you I'm happy -- -- crowded but people. This is our senior living room and -- -- -- BT. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- TV and now this -- while. -- -- -- Given away. Doctor -- back there aren't. That's -- of course. Brand new editor in ski skis taking the reins just in time of the -- Normally our editors help desk which is kind of you know the doctors and -- -- -- editors question. Of -- -- -- and low -- -- technology. It is backed up. You know that's these are some of the complications when you go underground into a fortress. -- have a hard time believing that whole thing even exists. Analysts pretty much I'm Molly takes -- -- the TV off the walls and brings them back here you notice how excited they were when sit -- had a brand overall and they didn't TV mention minds blindness they -- what she said Donna -- -- -- Times need to hype man get people like that that's columns and I would have been they would have been jumping off the walls but that -- -- to -- guys wanna take out the CNET dot them. Store and also meet up with -- 6:30 PM. That's one lead will be doing it and it just to take it out play at the gadgets. A coincidentally obviously no Apple products -- there. Will ultimately they don't like to sponsor -- you know things that aren't. We we'd -- included white wall painting a jump I'll -- all the people who give us criticism from mentioning Apple products too much feel like they -- you know. Think that's -- -- doing better than that you have edit check out all the tech elegance and we'll have seminars conversations with somewhere personalities a really cool stuff and I believe there's. I don't know the food truck is free. Like if they give you -- -- will now it is easy -- I hope Brian Tong said that this you know but -- -- delicious if you wanna pay it's free and guys over there and there's a food truck there. Tellem Brian -- -- told it was -- And then don't email us we may put the handcuffs I knew and they feel a spray. It's very OK guys -- back this -- but I think smaller -- -- -- out. And deaths will will be sure it's going on all the way through Sunday so there's a lot of activity going out in the so areas to check that out but -- back to our stories. We talked about the stop privacy act where. Hollywood series are backing it which would give copyright holders. New powers to pretty much cut off web sites and their access to payment processors an advertising networks if they had infringing material and there's obviously a a big problem -- that because we have a lot of studios. Who could then asked for takedown notices with. For any of the content and it would pretty much shut down that site's operations but Howell. You know what will Howell how viable are there arguments -- this is why we're worried about this Warner Bros. recently. Admitted that they issued take downs for files they never saw or didn't own a copyright two. This is involved in hot files legal battle with Hollywood C is that is accusing the site of facilitating copyright infringement. They included a tool that allows studios to have takedown requests. Warner Bros. did use that tool. Except the content. So someone who abuse the crap out of that door Biden is taking down everything else -- -- Thanks for the goodwill of this tool -- the -- to take down anything that might be ours we're gonna take everything down. While we're here some of the links that they provided that were that was content. Wasn't even Warner Bros. content right there where there is an application that was part of it on they sought the removal of an audio book. Called cancer of the box a BBC production at the box as a bridge -- -- battle is not even under their studios and names. This is a problem they were just doing the BBC if you're like a while we're here we're gonna take down your stuff to let some of other outlets -- brown take down their content. Yeah its a its its -- it is the it's abusing the the kind of the goodwill of that. Of that practice of the takedown until the salute the does stop -- it would stop -- privacy act of the protect IP act. We're at the mercy of the studios and -- they clearly have -- like we have continued to say on the show. But they can't be trusted again. I mean that said I do spend my afternoons issuing takedown notices on Justin Bieber videos. Not because there and infringing on mines you know copyright claims that I just find them offensive flag. -- -- flag at anomaly a on behalf jail is on behalf of the people opt for the sake of humanity -- I'm not I'm not going to be an -- of that. So I guess taking kind of identify with what they unleash an intelligent interest to someone just naturally enough of -- I'm not -- -- I get back at my desk right now. -- the -- and some videos that I cannot. Away it also -- say -- that's is -- -- -- that's happening. -- in morning is rim continuing to try and stay relevant says -- BBX phones is that new operating system that we pretty much railed on that will now include support. For email can contacts. And calendars rims new BBX phones. They'll support the US but also that looks like they'll be doing completely different form factors. Such as a sixteen by nine ratio phone on this is typically the cells also kind of weird to me because. I'm just not sure. How much a sixteen by nine screen -- -- phone if it also includes a keyboard -- I think that's a little awkward. -- they gotta try something. RA if you have a better idea you should email them right otherwise 699 -- a feature -- by the way is the X for extreme I don't know what the -- for. I hope it's for -- it is -- extreme. RI it also guys I in more stories -- it's going on a just a follow up really quickly on this BB -- -- -- One of the rumors of their new phones is gonna be called the Blackberry colts colts Alexio LC. The -- coal. COLT sand and think -- 45 that's exactly that's really -- -- -- -- it is. I did like I hide its -- Alaska and Canada that -- -- half of all the mouse over the past he had gotten -- as. We're pitching at my last I don't know -- does well one of the other features of their screen -- only sixteen by nine on it'll support multiple dimension graphics. Pretty much translation is 3-D. Let's let's let's just call that 3-D so anyways. -- of and I just don't. I'm -- nothing excites me about them anymore because they screw everything -- might not get a -- or not they were dying a year ago like the fact that they're still around it's actually. I think a testament -- the company only you know they still have that enterprise market locked down but even that's just with. Now people shifting over to. IOS -- and Android devices for business that's what's killing them like and -- in their immediate future but -- still around our people are feeling terribly -- -- Now they're talking about how am I am undergoing puberty right now -- -- It is my voice is -- on the show eyes all on the same alas plant on the Blackberry -- is that they get Billy. But that's how they can get back. Mr. Java is like that shoot out -- violent yeah at and then I'll leave it up to you guys do the. Handle the marketing at least they can be a cool marketing marketed company annual market and went alright guys armed. In other news we told you we was a winner this this'll it is a real winner -- reveal. Avoid speed and answer not really that the female voice but -- former technology journalist John Briggs revealed himself. As the voice of Siri in the UK. Despite. A warning from Apple to keep -- silence. So. That's when they want him to be silent but I -- -- -- talk about it but Briggs actually recorded. On the he did -- a voice over actor in the recordings for ScanSoft. Text to speech services sometime back in 2005. Which eventually -- voice recognition technology once they merged with -- wants. That Syria uses to carry on conversations so he said 5000 -- it is over three weeks. Spoke at a very particular way and all -- reading flat and even. What's been fun. Mandy may yet to do all that and you can't tell any mind that you're doing it. -- it is that's. I don't know but given that much work into a project I I am behind but he's doing here -- about revealing himself as I think he wants is there for -- Yeah it's a different and while also and I mean not to be insensitive to you don't -- -- -- the junction of two house that you know it's like I MB I would be living -- Steve Jobs. If it is coming down from him to not talk about it. You know but that they're still -- -- indecent -- -- come from this -- citizens can -- another half. I now understand -- -- I'd be like fire broke from underground it depends on what side of the -- your own thing. Anyways I Syria have the voice came forward he wanted to let everybody know but also. On everyone's been -- now will like it Surrey B is an older Apple aren't multiple developers have ported Syria as far back as the iPhone 3GS. -- -- -- on the -- but you know definitely taxing the system it has been able to run on the four successfully on nine to five Mac. Exe has. Some of the videos of it functioning quite well but then Apple in response of that. You know you have people are like oh well I saw this working on those -- the phones are you gonna bring it. Bring Syrian older devices devices. Apple flat out said new and now I'm innocent and we know historically this is not -- Yes and I don't see with the payoff would be ending at -- except for making customers happy -- you know -- Because customers make you happy with their next version of the phone yeah I mean if the only thing that I -- of one of the few things you can really do to promote. People to out to incentivized fueled by a new phone is a series feature. Why would you just give it exactly and -- him. It's and it it it TUZ working 24/7 or the other thing too it's like. Just because it works and and even says in this piece it doesn't necessarily mean it works very well in fact it sounds like it it kind tugs -- So that Apple is not one just the puts and the nominees because it kinda works in -- -- Passing out just -- -- about to the experience they -- people expect from Apple product. -- we also know that voice technology is becoming a big thing that's getting scooped up on Amazon. Is now jumping to this fall after they quietly purchased a company startup company called -- they're Charlotte, North Carolina based voice -- tech start up. On it was pretty much a very lowdown the reason why it really kind of stuck out is that there is a filing an SEC find that showed that yap. Had merged with an acquisition company that happen to be headquartered at 410 Terry avenue Seattle which happens to be. An Amazon building boom oh look at lucky shares that is like some Amazon employee about it I think it's Amazon dot -- actual building but -- With them getting any consumer product so much -- in -- to see. In a year so we see Amazon taking on buoys we know Google as Apple does it's -- -- one of those differentiating factors to have something like that. This to me feels like -- more credence to the theater that Amazon might be cooking up their own cable phone and I Kindle -- has -- their own Amazon phone. I can see. That I mean they could do it had to make it you know make it Mandy -- -- making nine dollars with special offers. We'll let you know we didn't put the article in here but Amazon really does have. A way. Apple -- in a way but generally. Use it to levels that Amazon really more than anything is using the advertising on their products that isn't that intrusive really -- it doesn't mess with the -- experienced. It makes me warm and Fuzzy this is -- -- wireless is nineteen dollar a month. Unlimited everything no contract. All in. Smartphone -- -- this US based yes. In fact I think is only in the so tell me about this is of as the concept here is that is it's really leveraging Y five from. What eight years -- that and the thing we want people who. Around my friend that -- we want everybody this isn't like the added that lowest common denominator plan for everyone from people who just want to -- -- to go around in. Text -- brains out this is that people who are ignored seeing around my iPad most of their day and they don't want to pay for. You know. Tens of gigs of data that they're not gonna really use if they just wanna have a cellular connection when they need it. But then DOT's -- for the -- from most of their stuff and they can do this -- -- found that that's the one caveat here is that you you only get one phone. Option -- -- -- LE LZ optimistic LG up an optimist running Android two point -- but this is just an interest in model and we'll talk about in our next story just. How different carriers are really trying to be innovative or bring something -- -- the table and they know it's not gonna be for everyone yet but it is a different solution when you look at that. Nineteen dollars a month I was. Almost seriously SE doctor Bonnie -- I was asked how much I do this to my job honestly this is me permission is you know -- I just I usually have to pay so much over to lake. You know. That the text is the text is the -- they do on a regular basis if you look back got a 99% of them are like me text in my life I'm on the way home he you know I just them not that -- guy and I mostly around live by most of my time. The idea of paying eighty dollars or more -- -- to it just to have a Smartphone is ridiculous. Yeah this is their hybrid college system now we know that. T-Mobile implemented in some of their phones Wi-Fi calling but. They were never able -- get something this low but unlimited text data and voice again at nineteen dollars a month. And so I didn't get the real kind of magic of this and why is only one phone that they're using has yet to do some kind of -- Voodoo -- that the actual programming staff to make -- -- that you can have this seamless switching between Wi-Fi. And my wife and I and I actually added that in my life and I've been trying to determine which tablet device analysts to be able to watch Netflix and Hulu I wanna be able to check email surf the web. That hasn't exactly an impulse buy in seems a little overkill for what we're looking for so I've been keeping an eye on the Kindle fire and the -- tablet. We both have iphones for music so we're not really too worried about the hard drive space. The major difference between the two so far in my eyes is the streaming capability Amazon hasn't unveiled what will be available for streaming besides what they offer alongside the Amazon prime membership. The -- on the other hand has already announced Netflix and Hulu compatibility. I really like Amazon as a company so I wanna like the fire specially for fifty dollars cheaper but if they can't compete against the -- in regards to Netflix and Hulu playback. I think that there's no chance in hell that the developers that app developers in the world aren't you bringing their apps to that -- -- with all the eyeballs and. Yeah also just as is just a heads up -- couple days ago. On there was an announcement that Kindle fire will launch with some of these key apps -- you're looking for probably Netflix. How much larger app selection anything close to -- in Barnes and Noble's offerings. If you're looking for -- media tablet in your first. Concern isn't -- the I think that this. -- -- -- -- -- -- One thing to most you'll that are gonna get -- first tablet -- Amazon fired this may not really mean as much them but because Amazon has their own.
