>>Most wireless routers look kind of the same, mundane, and sort of boring, but once in a while, you
run into one that has [inaudible] fashion. Still, the name can remain a mouthful though. Hello, my
name is [inaudible] and this is the Ingenious wireless ESR 9855G300N gaming router. Unlike most
routers, this one is kind of colorful with a bright top and the rest in bright orange, almost as bright as
my tee shirt here. It has only two antennas as opposed to three in many others. The interesting
design here is that the antennas are put on the side, clear from the port on the back. The router has
no USB port; this means that it has no support for USB devices such as; printers or external hard
drives. It also doesn't have support for dual band or guest networking either. The router has four LAN
ports and one WAN port. These ports are all gigabit, which is great for [inaudible] clients. Also on the
back, you will find on off switch. The router has four rubber feet to keep it grounded on any surface,
but it is also wall mountable. On top, the router has the WI-FI protector setup button that actually has
three purposes. If you press on it quickly, it will start the two minute window time, when other WPS
editable devices can enter the network, if you press and hold it for six to ten seconds, that will restart
the router, and if you press and hold the button for longer than eleven seconds, the router will reset
its settings to the factory defaults. Now that's convenient, but make sure you keep the router out of
the children's reach. They sure wouldn't want to play with this button.
Performance wise, the Ingenious has very fast speed and a very long range, however, it's one signal
could be more stable. In our stress test, the signal reset a few times during a 48 hours period. This
means it might randomly kick you out when online game. Not really a good thing for our gamers who
want to connect to the internet via a wireless connection. All things considered though, I think, the
router is worth its 100 dollars price. For more information, please check out the full review at

9855G300N gaming router.
