Virtual reality doesn't need to be expensive.
First, you'll need a headset like Google Cardboard.
As the name suggests, it's made of cardboard and you put it together yourself.
Prices are around the $20 mark and it comes in several different versions.
For a more steady experience, try the Mattel Viewmaster at $25.
Both these headsets work with Android or IOS phones.
To get started, insert the phone into the headset and download a virtual reality app.
You can find a wide selection on the Google Play or Apple App store.
Sit back, hold the headset to your eyes, and immerse yourself in a 360 degree world.
To make your own virtual reality photos, download the Google Cardboard Camera app for Android.
Hold out your phone and move it around in a circle to take the photo.
Then place the phone in a viewer to see the magic in action.
