>> I'm Dan Ackerman here at the CES 2008 and we are taking a look at the Dell Inspiron 1525. Now just about everyone has had a 15-inch mainstream Dell laptop at one time or another, but in the most recent round of laptop that Dell put out they're picking it's model with a little bit big and bulky. The 14 was great, the 13-inch was great so Dell has heard our cries and come out with a brand new 1525, the sequel to the 1520; and what they've managed to do is shave about 30% off the thickness, it's about 25% smaller overall, and what you do is you get a lot less dead space around your arms, sides, and in the keyboard tray. It's a lot easier to carry around. Even better, it starts about 499 which is great because for that price you actually get a little HDMI output which is great for hooking up to your big plasma TV or your LCD; and you also get a whole bunch of new options for the lid--this is called Chill, this is one design and there are about 3 or 4 others and a whole bunch of solid colors. You can dress it up anyway you like; if you dress it up nicely it's about 800 bucks which is still great; and that is the Inspiron 1525. I'm Dan Ackerman here at CES 2008.
