This is Gazelle's central processing facility in Louisville, Kentucky.
We employee between 60 and 200 people depending on the time of year and this happens to be our peak season.
Normally for an e-commerce,
Their peak season is the holidays, right everybody's buying stuff at the holiday time.
For us, our peak season and our holiday time you will is an Apple release date.>>On the heels of a new iPhone launch, we tend to see the greatest volume of items coming through the facility We start all of our planning six months ahead of time with our team of bosses.
Here's what we hear.
In seven years we've gotten pretty good at guessing what that release date is going to be.
This year they guessed it on the day.
This year we expect about 150,000 units processed during about a six week period.
Today we received about 2,500.
Last Wednesday we got about 8000 in a day so this is a busy time of year, we see much more than your typical volume.
So obviously we ramp up for our peak period which is around an Apple release.
We ramp our OBB outbound box capacity to about 30,000 to 35,000 a day, which means we've seven stations running for 20 hours.
Processing anywhere from 100 and a quarter up to 200 an hour, depending on the processor, how long they've been here, what specific box they're processing.
Another stat is a couple weeks ago we sent out 13,000 boxes to consumers in a single day.
So That gives me another idea of how much volume we're pushing through here right now.
So go to gazelle.com first of all, get an offer from us.
If you like the offer, you can lock in your price and you have 30 days to send it in.
We'll send you the box and you put it the box, pretty self-explanatory, and send it back to us.
For treating people like
Simple, the sort of simplest concept is what's important, right?
We've gone through deaths with people and births and weddings and divorces, right.
I'm pretty young to have 150 kids.
But they are our family and that's important to us.
