Cisco RV110W Wireless-N VPN Firewall
If you want to have VPN server for your office, it will have generally have to get a real server computer or for an expensive VPN router.
This is no longer the case.
Hello, my name is Dong Ngo and this is Cisco RV110W Wireless-N VPN Firewall router.
This is the first VPN Wireless-N router that cost just around $100.
It's designed for small business environment, very small business status because building VPN server can host
only 5 concurrent remote user at a time.
Not that this is only for the VPN connections.
For local network, the router can support up 32 wireless clients at the same time and basically unlimited amount of wired client.
Other than the VPN server, this is a standard single band router.
On the back, it has 4 LAN ports and 1 port.
None of this port is gigabit unfortunately, which is very disappointing because it means you can't have a fast local network.
Unlike other Cisco router for homes
that have internet antenna, the RV110W has 2 external antennae sticking up from the back.
This is not a big deal, but it does make the router less compact than it could be.
And the name suggests that the router also has built in comprehensive firewall features that you can manage [unk] web interface.
You will also find other features such as quality of service security and so on.
The router has 4 tiny rubber feet to keep it routed grounded on any surface, but it's also designed to well mountable.
Overall, other than the lack of support of for Gigabit Ethernet, this is a great router for those who need a quick VPN solution.
