>> Hi I'm Molly Wood and welcome to The Buzz Report. This week, France cracks [inaudible], Facebook gets political and Vista still just kinda sucks, but first the gadget of the week. The gadget of the week is the LG Voyager VX10000, this phone is crazy hot. It's got not one, but two displays and the outside display is all touch screen, you've got on screen QWERTY keyboard and the full tactile keyboard once you flip it open. It's got 3G support for speedy data, multimedia messaging, stereo Bluetooth and an integrated GPS application. There's no Wi-Fi, which is a pretty big bummer, but the fast data speed's kinda make up for it. All in all, an awesome phone if you're looking for an alternative to the iphone. No. You're not looking for an alternative to the iphone? That's all you want? I mean this is a hundred bucks cheaper and no? Still no? Okay, but you're missin' out. And now for the news, France has a new agreement with ISP's in that country, if you repeatedly download, copyrighted music and movies you can get your internet access turned off. And it's a three way agreement that includes the entertainment industry which promises to make more content available online more quickly. President Nicolas Sarkozy says it was a decisive moment for the future of the civilized internet and also for spying on internet users. But hey, here in the US we do that in secret, at least in France you know it's happening, [inaudible]. In political news ABC and Facebook have teamed up on a new app called US Politics which will educate Facebook users about major election year issues and in turn help ABC News structure it's coverage of the 2008 presidential election. Facebook will also co-host a future presidential debate and we can expect that in the democratic debate. Hillary Clinton will attack Barack Obama's zombie, beat him down and earn an additional two zombie points while during the republican debate Mitt Romney will start biting Tums and Rudy Giuliani will give round policy provoke. On the operating systems, it's been a bad week for the big OS guys according to new performance results Windows XP performs twice as fast as Windows Vista. And you already know about all the other problems with this, hardware incompatibility, bugs and upgrade problems and Leopard is having some of the same issues plus this week it's reported that the latest update to Mac OS 10 Tiger the one before Leopard causes catastrophic failure for a lot of users. Ouch! You mean both Windows and the Mac OS fail us? Who can save us?
>> Whoa!
>> Yeah.
>> Hey, hey, hey.
>> Alright
>> Oh no, no, no, not you guys again. Come on. Get real. Cut it out. And finally, here's what's clogging the tubes this week, it's cyber Monday. Online shopping hit its marketing induced frenzy this week causing sites like Toys "R" Us and services like Yahoo to buckle under the pressure of mediocre deals and the lemming effects that we all thought we avoided by shopping online. Seems we humanoids cannot stop ourselves from joining a line when a line is in progress. Pathetic. I mean I am planning to spend the rest of the afternoon browsing the super secret Friday after Black Friday 2.5% off sale at Nordstrom.com, but that's totally different. Those shoes never go on sale and don't you try to beat me there. I'm Molly Wood and this has been The Buzz Report. Thanks for watching.
